Seraphina's POV

I closed my eyes, feeling my heart race. He kissed me softly, but it sent a rush of heat through my veins. Amid my fear of Callista's arrival, he suddenly pulled away, his fingers still clenched tightly around my waist.

"My private room, upstairs," he whispered in a low voice that sent chills down my spine. "Five minutes."

Before I could respond, he vanished into the crowd, leaving me frozen, my knees trembling and my lips still warm from his touch. For the Moon Goddess, what had just happened? I must have been losing my mind.

"Sera! Are you okay?"

I snapped out of my daze, Callista's voice breaking through and pulling me back to reality. She ran toward me with genuine concern, the dim light hiding my red face and swollen lips.

"What did that jerk of a brother of mine do to you? Did he bother you?" she asked angrily. "Kaelos is always like that—thinking he can claim whatever he wants."

I shook my head quickly, trying to calm my racing heart. "No, nothing happened. He just... said hello." The lie slipped out before I could stop it.

"I want to go home," I added, this time telling the truth. The loud club music and judgmental stares were starting to feel suffocating. But there was something else—an invisible pull drawing me toward the stairs leading upstairs.

Callista grabbed my hand. "Okay, I'll take you home."

"No, it's okay," I said quickly. "I can go home by myself. You're having fun with your new friends. Go ahead."

She looked at me doubtfully. "Are you sure? We just got here."

"I'm sure," I smiled reassuringly. "I just need some fresh air for a bit. Maybe I'll come back later."

Seeing her hesitation, I added, "Really, I'm fine. Enjoy your night."

As she returned to the VIP room with her new friends, we parted ways. And me? I walked away, but my feet didn't head toward the exit—they moved instead toward the stairs leading to the upper floor.

Crazy. Maybe I was going crazy.

I'd just broken up with Darius, my wolf was in hibernation, and now I was heading to the private room of an Alpha I didn't even know—who also happened to be my best friend's brother.

At the end of the empty corridor, I saw a door with intricate carvings, unlike the others, without a number, bearing only the symbols of a crescent moon and the sun. My instincts told me he was there; I could smell his tempting scent from afar.

My blood began to race again, my desire reigniting as I remembered our interrupted kiss.

My feet moved on their own as if pulled by something invisible. I raised my fingers to knock when I reached the door, but it opened first.

His face was clearer in the brighter light, and he smiled at me with a teasing look. I swallowed nervously as my gaze fell to his neck and his chest peeking out from under his shirt, all the buttons undone. I could see his abdominal muscles, perfectly defined with beautiful curves.

"You came," he said, breaking the silence between us.

Before I could respond, he grabbed my hand and closed the door with a kick. He pulled me into his room and suddenly pushed me against the wall, pinning me there. His red, wet lips crashed into mine without mercy, moving with such passion, like a thirsty camel at an oasis, while his hands roamed freely over my body.

"I shouldn't be doing this," he whispered between kisses, yet his hands moved downward, tracing the curves of my body through the short red dress I was wearing. "But since you walked into that bar... you've been messing with my mind."

"Don't think about anything," I whispered, my fingers tracing the rough line of his jaw. "Tonight, I'm yours."

My words seemed to fan the flames of desire in him. Kaelos lifted one of my legs, wrapping it around his waist. As our kisses grew deeper and more tender, I felt his large hands caressing my thigh, sliding inward—touching my underwear, making me moan softly.

"You're already wet," he said with a teasing smile.

I nodded shyly. "You made me wet."

My body responded as if it had known him for years. Every touch sent waves of pleasure coursing through me like I had never felt before. Even on my best nights with Darius, I had never felt such a burning desire.

From afar, from the deepest corner of my mind, I could sense a faint movement—Lily, responding even in her sleep. But her voice was too weak to be heard above the roar of my blood.

He then drew me toward him and threw me onto the bed, my dress slipping up to reveal my smooth, tempting thighs.

Without a word, Kaelos opened my dress, threw it to the floor, unhooked my bra, and tossed it aside.

"You're beautiful," he praised.

"I know," anwer me.

With a mischievous smile, he stood up, quickly removing his shirt to reveal a muscular body adorned with battle scars—proof of his Alpha status. His hands moved to his belt, unbuttoning his formal pants with slow, torturous care.

I moaned, trying to endure the pain and pleasure at the same time. Kaelos was now on top of me, his face flushed and sweaty, but he still managed to smile.

He then pushed into me, starting slowly, then faster and more intensely. Our breaths grew heavy and intertwined, both of us moaning with pleasure. Waves of heat surrounded me as he quickened his rhythm—until finally, I felt a surge of heat fill me.

SERAPHINAHowling Moon. The two of us returned to this place, where I first met my husband—a handsome and powerful Alpha who ruled over all of North America—a man named Kaelos Harrington. That day was the day I became a crazy woman who seduced a man first. After experiencing the tragic death that Darius inflicted on me, I chose to become a crazy woman who had no fear whatsoever—ever since that incident.Howling Moon, this place became a silent witness to how I met my husband. After getting out of the car, Kaelos took my hand protectively. Even though we had been living together for almost seventeen years, my love for him never diminished—on the contrary, it grew stronger every day.We walked together towards the building—the beat of the music accompanied our steps, welcoming our arrival. This place hadn't changed much since the last time we were here, only more modern.Kaelos invited me to sit on a long sofa in the corner of the room, and I accepted with a smile. Kaelos sat down next

  • Burned by My Ex, Reborn as His King's Mate    Chapter 224 Good Job!

SERAPHINAThree months before the Grand Council Meeting, Kaelos and I decided to hold a mock Council Meeting—a complete simulation with all the senior members of the Nightveil Pack acting as representatives of various Packs. We set up the Main Council Chamber exactly as it would be for the real meeting. Alaric sat at the center podium, with Celine beside him as chief advisor. Kaelos and I sat in the back row, observing but not intervening.Beta Archer acted as the Alpha of the Western Mountain Pack—friendly but demanding. Gamma Silas played the Alpha of the Southwestern Desert Pack—skeptical and challenging. Elder Marcus took on the role of European Council representative—formal and traditional.Sophia, Alaric's nanny since childhood, even participated, acting as Luna of the Eastern Coastal Pack, who was very concerned about social issues.“The Council is now in session,” Alaric announced, his voice clear and authoritative. “Thank you all for coming. Today's agenda includes discussion

KAELOS“Again!” I commanded, my voice loud but not harsh.Alaric—who was already sweaty and breathing heavily—got up from the ground for the tenth time. We had been practicing combat for almost three hours, and I hadn't held back at all.“Papa,” Alaric gasped. “I... I can't do this anymore.”“When you become an Alpha,” I said firmly, “your enemies won't care if you're tired. They won't care if you're not at your best. They'll attack with full force, and you have to be ready.”Alaric wiped his face, covered in sweat and dirt, then took up his fighting stance again.“Okay,” he said with determination. “Again.”We fought again—I attacked with complex combinations, testing his reflexes and defense. Alaric defended well, blocking most of my attacks. But then I used a fake move—pretending to attack from the left but actually coming from the right.Alaric fell again, but this time he immediately rolled and got up in one smooth motion.“Good!” I praised him. “You're learning. Now, attack me.”

SERAPHINAThree months had passed since the leadership transition announcement, and the change was remarkable. Every morning, I woke up no longer with a packed Council meeting agenda or crises to deal with immediately. Instead, I woke up peacefully, enjoying my morning coffee with Kaelos while watching Alaric and Celine begin their leadership routines. This morning, I stood on our balcony, watching Alaric lead the morning briefing with Beta Archer and the security team. Even from a distance, I could see how the senior warriors listened with respect—no longer viewing him as “Young Master” but as their future Alpha.“He's growing up so fast,” Kaelos said, joining me with two cups of hot tea.“Too fast,” I agreed with a slightly sad smile. “It feels like just yesterday he was learning to walk, and now he's leading security briefings.”Kaelos wrapped his arms around me from behind, his chin resting on my shoulder.“Do you miss the days when they were little?” he asked softly.“Every day,”

  • Burned by My Ex, Reborn as His King's Mate    Chapter 221 My Son

KAELOSI got up and walked towards my son, kneeling in front of him so we were at eye level.“Alaric,” I said firmly but lovingly. “When I took over leadership of the Pack at twenty-one, I was far less prepared than you are now. I lost my parents, I had no mentor, and I had to learn while facing threats from all sides.”I placed my hand on his broad shoulder."But you're different. You have Mama and Papa to guide you. You have Celine, who will always give you brilliant perspective. You have Beta Archer and all the loyal senior warriors. And most importantly—you have a good heart, Alaric. You care about your Pack, you are fair, and you are brave. That's all it takes to be a great Alpha."His amber eyes—so similar to mine—began to glisten.“I'll try my best, Papa,” he said, his voice trembling. “I won't disappoint you.”“You will never disappoint us,” Seraphina said, stroking Alaric's hair affectionately. “Because you are our son, and we are proud of you, no matter what happens.”Celine

KAELOSTime passed quickly without me realizing it. I lived a happy life with my small family. My wife, my two children, we lived a full and happy life; not a single day went by without smiles, jokes, and laughter. That morning, I stood on the balcony of my private study, looking out at the Nightveil Pack's training ground, which was bustling with activity. In the middle of the field, Alaric—my son, now fifteen years old—was leading a combat training session with dozens of young warriors. His movements were precise, his voice firm but not harsh, and most surprisingly, all the warriors followed his instructions without hesitation.“He's amazing, isn't he?” Seraphina's voice flowed warmly into my ear.I turned and saw my wife standing in the doorway, carrying two cups of coffee. Even after seventeen years together, she still made my heart flutter.“Absolutely amazing,” I agreed, taking a cup from her. "Sometimes I can't believe he's grown so big.It feels like just yesterday he was a ba
