Chapter 19

Clara was indoors. She had no idea of what transpired between her stepmom and Alex. She was not even aware that they had come.

She was ready to go to the hospital and visit her Mum like she told Alex.

On getting to the hospital, her mother’s condition seemed to have improved. Even though she had still not deposited money, she seemed to be improving so well.

“Doctor, I only want to thank you for being patient and still taking care of my mum. I will make sure to start the payment as soon as possible.

“Miss Clara, it's only our duty and you don't need to thank me especially.”

Clara offered a smile. She was sitting on the hospital bed close to her mum and holding her hands.

She will never let anything happen to her mother. Elizabeth and Selene would frustrate her if that happened. They already did, but it will worsen if something happens to her mother.

Hopefully, if Alex resolves all the matters going on in his office as he said, they will have a proper discussion.
