Chapter 18

Clara lifted her face slightly, and Alex moved his head too. He nodded at her meaning he meant every word he said.

Clara stayed like she was thinking. How could she possibly sleep with him “Oh.” She covered her mouth. She blamed her mind for thinking dirty.

The only way to avoid what was on her mind was not staying with him.

“No. I think I have to go.” Clara didn't really dare to tell him No but she just had to.

“It’s okay. I shouldn't have asked that.”

“Mmm.”

“Good night.”

“Good night.”

Immediately Clara shut the door, leaned on the door, and breathed out heavily. She has not ever been this tense before.

She shouldn't have said no to him. She should have agreed. She expected Alex to further it also.

But to think of it, Alex was sweet. He was possessive and acted like he wanted her with him all the time. She put her finger in her mouth and found herself smiling.

Clara tapped her cheeks to remind herself to stop thinking about that, but again, she remembered how he wrapped his both arm
