Chapter 36

Clara had begun drawing her signature on the paper, but because of the heartbreak and betrayal from Alex, she was a bit sluggish.

Then the door of the room was pushed open. All the three darted their eyes to the entrance.

Alex how?

Upon seeing Alex there, Clara stopped drawing. She has written only a digit out of her five-digit signature.

“How did you get here?” Mrs. Peters almost yelled at her son. Now that she was happy that their plan had worked.

Alex had Andrew secretly follow Mrs. Peters. He did that not to cause any suspicion. if he had left the house, they would have suspected. The moment Andrew revealed this, he ran off immediately.

Alex smirked and started working to where Clara was, she was still frightened. He picked up the paper and looked at it, seeing she hadn't signed it, he tore it into pieces.

“How dare you?” Mrs. Peters roared at him.

“Clara, let’s go.”

Clara was elated. But why did Alex sign it first? She couldn’t place it but was still happy that he came to get her
