Burst-Out

I WOKE up to the sound of my alarm clock on the side table. With my eyes closed, I reached for it and turned it off. I yawned and opened my eyes a little. I was about to close my eyes again when I noticed a bulk sitting on the edge of my bed.

"D-Damien?"

"Good morning,"

"H-have you been there for a long time?" I asked him, covering my thigh that was exposed because the nightgown I was wearing had slipped.

"Actually, I am here since last night," he said.

I frowned. "Last—"

"I'm sorry if I slept here beside you,"

I swallowed when he said that he slept next to me, but I just ignored it. I sat down a little. I don't want to speak up and say it's a big lie because I know he was with Katherine all night.

"I waited for you to wake up last night when I got home," he sounds explaining.

"I didn't wake you up because you were already deep in your sleep,"
