CAMILA CHAPTER 1
The atmosphere was very tense and silent. Nobody spoke since the dinner had started. The soft beat of the rain against the roof of the house didn’t seem to help matters. Camila I stared at the mirror unsure if the person I was looking at was me. My long black was braided a tone side and left to rest on the other side of my shoulder, my brown eyes were bright yet had a sad gleam to them. I wore a long handless black gown that had a long slit, up to my knee. I applied some lipstick and paired my outfit with a silver pair of high heels. ‘you look pretty” my mother said observing me from across the room, I turned to face her with a small smile. She sighed and walked over to me, and place her two hands on my shoulder. “everything is going to be fine, sometimes your father thinks he does what is best for you but …I just need you to try and be happy” I nodded solemnly at her words as she led me out of the room to where my brothers were standing. Camila I groaned and rolled in my bed when I heard the alarm clock ring. I sat up and stared around the room. I almost had a heart attack when I realized I wasn’t in my room. The ceiling was white for one, I know I always had peach walls. I stared around the larger room. It was white from bottom to ceiling. I lay on a four poster bed covered in white sheets. There were two doors, probably leading to the bathroom and closet. I slipped out of my bed and looked at all my bags stuffed ata corner. I was in Roman’s house. My eyes moved down to the emerald ring that encircled my finger. The events of yesterday came rushing through my head. I was engaged to the cocky arrogant billionaire. So much for life. I stared at the alarm clock and gasped. It was 7:45 and school staretd at 8:15. I ran into the shower; it was as big as my bathroom back home but I didn’t let my mind rest on that for long. The car ride to the house was quiet and the silence was suffocating. There’s just something about Roman that was different from other guys I’ve met. I liked him though I met him yesterday and I was also scared shitless of him. He was cocky, arrogant and hardly let people see the part of him I was seeing. The dress was a long off shoulder red gown with a shiny bodice. I stared at it in awe. It was just a dinner and yet the dress looked very costly. I took off my dress and wore the dress. I stared at the mirror when I heard a knock on my door. I walked to it and opened it expecting to see Roman but instead I saw a young girl about my age, in a short white gown. She had short black hair and freckles on her face. “good day miss, I was sent to help you prepare” I opened the door wider for her to come in. she walked in and set her equipment down. “I’m Elena” “Camila, please” I sat down on the stool and she got to work doing my makeup first then my hair. Once she was done. I opened my eyes and stared at the mirror. “I must say you look pretty” she said in a small voice. I smiled at her and stood. It was already quarter to 7 and I had to be down soon. “Dude, let me see her” I heard someone say from outside my door. I groaned and sat up in my bed. I could hear many voices behind my closed door. I stood up and walked to the door. “if you wake her, I’ll kill you” I heard Roman threaten. I opened the door and the conversation ceased. Roman leaned on the door frame with two other guys beside him. “it was totally, Mr. grumpy here” the brunette said nudging Roman who gave him a death stare. “good morning princess, sorry theses idiots are here, these are Harry and Elijah” Harry was a brunette with green eyes while Elijah was hazel eyed with tattooed skin. “guys, this is Camila” “she looks good and I’m sure she’s also good in...” Harry started to say but he was cut off by Roman digging his eyebrow into his stomach. Harry fell to the ground with a dramatic groan and Elijah rolled his eyes. I chuckled. “remember school today” Roman said as they headed down the stairs. I shut my room door and went for a shower

Roman I hate work. I hate paper work especially and I hate having to wear a suit every time I step out of my home. It’s all about reputation. My father’s words not mine. I knotted the freaking tie and pulled on my blazers. I swept my comb through my hair a couple times before heading down the stairs. Harry stood at the door twirling the keys to the car in his hands with his finger. “took you long enough, who’re you trying to impress, Camila? I swear Harry was as annoying as a fly. I pushed him against the wall and stared him in the face. “one more freaking word and I’m going to kill you” he nodded frantically and I let him go. I headed into the car and he entered the driver’s seat and drove off to the Romero empire. I stood up and grabbed another hoddie to change. I tied my wild hair into a ponytail before skipping down the stairs dramatically. We walked to his Bugatti and got in. ice cream was my number one cheer up tactic. “you seem excited” Roman observed as we drove down the streets. I blushed crimson and stared out of the window. We finally pulled up at my favorite ice cream place, Vanilla island even though they had other flavors. I jumped out of the car and ran inside, Roman tagging along.
