Chapter Two - Part 1

CHARLIE

Hah, the smell of pride, brokenness and fake lifestyle is all I could smell stepping into this house I used to call home before moving to college. Coming home feels like being caged, especially when you have to come home to your excuse of a father matchmaking you with rich alphas… the richer, the better.

The little time spent at ‘Voldov’ was enough to make me breathe normally, instead of the stupid fake air in this house. I hadn’t even gotten the chance to lock the doors before that annoying voice boomed somewhere:

“What was your conclusion, Charlie?”

Seriously, I decided to make him suffer and not give a reply, but I would be the one who ends up dead in an alley when he decides to release his wrath upon me.

“Nothing huge, sir,” I answered, facing the floor because that is how I should always act towards him, as his rules state in his house.

“Then you were useless!” he spat angrily at me. I flinched. I tried opening my mouth to talk, only to close it again before he continued to lash out.

“Do you think I raised an omega so he could cherish his pride?” he laughed. “I raised you and made you keep that dignity of yours with the best skin routine, for you to snag the one rich enough.”

He walked slowly to me, making me back into the door. “You could have tried your fucking omega methods!” His shout ended with a slap to my face, and at that moment I wanted to run away from him… from everything.

I really hated the fact that I had to go through this without any emotional support whatsoever from anyone. God, my eyes were starting to sting. I just wanted that one-time opportunity to kill him like he did to my mom.

After the silence, he looked me straight in the eyes and said coldly, “Go back.” With that, he shoved me out of the house. He threw me out so hard, I tripped, and I was very sure I sprained my ankle. So bad.

From here, I am leaving, and I will never come back to this sperm donor. It is not an easy thing to do, but I will try to survive on my own, meet people, ask for help, and try to socialize if I have to. I will do anything to never go back to that house.

My eyes were starting to sting. I was so tired that I could almost cry right now. It was getting late too. I needed to pick up my pace.

I began my race, running to no destination at all. It started raining, which was bad for me at this hour of the day because it would be very evident to everyone that I am an omega who is close to frustration. From my scent, and if they see me alone, that would warrant troubles I did not want to imagine.

I might have the little strength to be able to hit more than two alphas from my trainings, but only two could I hit before I would get cornered.
