Chapter 16: His Wrath

Darrem's guest had already left the mansion. He was calling his maid for a couple of times now but he hasn't receive a response. Darrem poured the last drop of wine on his glass and decided to call Maricar.

“Where's Serene? I've been calling her but she isn't picking up.” Darrem is just trying to maintain his calm. One thing he hates the most is when his worker is out of reach, especially if he really need them at the moment.

Maricar couldn't think of a proper answer to his boss. She couldn't even understand what Serene just say earlier. “I-I think she is in her room. Do you want me to check her in her room?”

Darrem combed his hair using his fingers. He does that everytime he feels frustrated. “Not just check her. Ask her to climb upstairs. She owe me an explanation.” Maricar pulled the phone away from her ears because of the sudden rise on his voice. She can tell that he was so upset right now.
