Luna's POV.

My heart sank as I listened to my father's words. The fate of our werewolf pack hung in the balance, and I could feel the weight of his worry crushing me.

"If we don't do something soon enough, Luna," he said, his voice strained with fear, "we are going to lose a lot of werewolves."

The thought of losing our pack members, including the Alpha and his young friends, was too much to bear.

Panic set in, and I turned to Bryan, desperate for comfort. "Take me home now, please!" I begged, my voice barely above a whisper.

I couldn't let Bryan see how scared I was. My father's urgent and tense tone left no room for doubt: something terrible was coming, something beyond our control.
