Chapter 5: Reunion Obsession

Vivienne was led out of the private room by Asher, and the manager hurriedly pulled Lily away as well. The remaining people at the table looked at each other in confusion. Some of them sent the man with the broken hand to the hospital, while others engaged in casual conversation.

"Hey, Caelan, you've been with the Young Master for the longest time. Do you know that girl?" one person asked curiously.

Caelan, dressed in military uniform with the insignia of a lieutenant colonel on his shoulders, replied, "I don't know her, but..."

"But what?" someone prompted.

"It's nothing," Caelan furrowed his brows slightly and shook his head.

What Caelan didn't say was that he had heard rumors before. It was said that Asher had once cared deeply about a girl. Overnight, he destroyed the city's largest nightclub for her. He also took a set of stunningly beautiful photos that caused a sensation. But in the end, he made the woman disappear from his life, forbidding anyone to mention her name, as if she had never existed. Caelan had only heard Asher murmur the name "Vivi" once, by chance.

Vivienne retrieved her bag from the storage room and was pulled by Asher all the way out of the club to the underground parking lot. When he opened the car door, he remained silent, just staring at her intently.

Asher had beautiful and captivating eyes, long and deep, with a slight upward tilt at the outer corners, giving them a charming allure but also an unsettling purity. However, when those eyes fixated on someone, it often gave them a shiver down their spine.

Vivienne suspected that if she didn't get into the car, Asher might just maintain that posture, waiting for her indefinitely. But when she sat in the passenger seat, he didn't immediately close the door. Instead, he leaned over, fastened her seatbelt, and only then closed the door before getting into the driver's seat.

She looked at his profile. There were traces of dried red wine on his fair skin, not to mention the red stains on his white clothes.

Vivienne took out a pack of wet wipes from her bag and handed a sheet to Asher. "You should wipe your face."

He glanced at her but didn't reach out to take the wet wipe. Instead, he brought his face closer to her hand. "Help me," he murmured softly, almost as a command.

"You can do it yourself," Vivienne replied.

His delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly, and his face moved even closer to her. "Help me," he repeated.

Vivienne pursed her lips and didn't say anything more. She wiped the red wine stains off Asher's face with the wet wipe.

Even through the damp tissue, she could still feel the warmth of his face against her fingertips. Her hand trembled slightly, or perhaps she simply wasn't mentally prepared to see him again.

After hastily wiping away the red wine marks from his face, she was about to pull her hand back when his hand pressed against hers, holding it tightly.
