INICIAR SESIÓNMonica’s POV
The man raised an eyebrow at me. Then he glanced around the bar like I had lost my way, before his gaze settled back on me. The intensity in his piercing grey eyes made me shudder on the inside. “Why did you choose me to buy you a drink, young lady?” His voice was deep, calm, and slightly amused. I glanced around the bar to try understanding his reasoning better. There were plenty of younger men sitting alone or surrounded by friends. Some were already watching me, probably wondering why a woman dressed like me had walked into the bar alone and approached the older gentleman. I looked back at the man in front of me. “Because you're the most handsome man here.” I said with a shrug. For a moment, he simply stared at me, then he laughed. It wasn't a mocking laugh. If anything, he seemed genuinely entertained by my answer. “You're quite direct, young lady.” I shrugged, trying not to let him see how nervous I actually was. “I don't see a reason to lie.” His smile faded slightly as he studied me. “I can tell you're looking for company tonight, young lady.” My fingers tightened around my handbag, because he was right, I am ready to ruin whatever reputation my chastity means to the family business tonight. And perhaps a part of me just craved an escape and the moment my eyes had landed on this gorgeous man, the feeling of safety and assurance of care I had only experienced from my father evoked in me. “But you should know something before you make a mistake.” He leaned back in his chair. “I'm not someone you should mess with.” I swallowed. “You're too young to be making decisions like this because of a bad night. Find someone your own age if you wish to be reckless.” His words irritated me. Maybe because they reminded me of everything I had heard that evening. The woman who was supposed to obediently marry Martin and help him become CEO and let him use her and her father’s business to win a top position with his own family business. I didn't want to hear another person telling me what I should do. Without thinking, I reached across the table, grabbed his drink, and swallowed it in one go. His eyes widened slightly. I placed the empty glass back on the table. “Stop calling me young lady.” I said, while dropping my handbag and settling myself on his lap, one of my hands snaked around his neck…. He smells so good. He inhaled sharply as our body made contact before he stared at the empty glass before looking back at me, amusement and disbelief in his eyes. My body feels just right where I had just placed it. He was hard, warm and although I was looking forward to being ruined, he felt safe. “Hmmm” he hummed softly as his hand snaked around my waist to welcome my intrusion. “What should I call you then? My heart thudded against my chest fiercely as I tilted my body to face him. Our eyes locked and from such a close proximity God! He's beautiful. I averted my gaze, reached forward to grab my handbag, my butt accidentally rubbing against him in the process. I reached into my handbag and pulled out some cash. I settled back down properly and pressed a wad of cash to his chest. “What do you call a girl about to scream your name all night?” He looked thoughtful for a brief second, “baby?” He threw it at me like a question and I grinned back at him, unsure where my confidence was coming from. I fanned his face with the wad of cash flirtatiously, “then I hope with this amount of money, I can call you ‘daddy’ throughout the night.” He looked genuinely amused. “I think this is the first time a woman has ever offered me money for my body.” I felt my cheeks heat up. “Then tonight can be the first time.” He studied me for several seconds. The amusement slowly disappeared from his expression, replaced by something more serious. “Listen carefully.” His voice was quieter now. “If you will do this with me, you need to be certain. I won't force you into anything you don't want.” My heart began beating faster than it already was, considering his manhood now pressed hard against me. “You can still walk away right now,” he continued. “I'll forget this conversation ever happened, and you can go home.” He was right. Was I being too rash? I looked toward the exit. For a moment, I imagined going back to my hotel and crying throughout the night to soothe my heartache, but then I imagined Martin's face and all the hurtful words he had said. My heart clenched. I looked back at the stranger and reached for my bag, adding another wad of cash, I bit down on my lower lip, “how about now daddy?” He suddenly stood, guiding me up with him, only then did I realize how tall he really was. I suddenly felt nervous. Much more nervous than I had expected. But I didn't step away. Instead, I quickly reached for my bag and followed him toward the private elevator at the end of the bar as he gently pulled me along, his large hand firmly holding mine. As the doors closed behind us, I stared at our reflections in the polished metal. A stranger and a woman with a broken heart. And one reckless decision that could change everything.I ignored Martin's calls during the rest of his stay for work, which became successful. I later found out he had simply travelled to welcome his father who had been the one who sealed the deal he claimed to travel for.The news was none of my concern, until I was forced to attend a banquet held at the Montrose mansion. Apparently I need to act my fiancee part until I execute my plan and expose the lying duo of course.…….The Montrose mansion was crowded when I arrived.Music echoed through the enormous garden, while young heirs and wealthy socialites gathered around the pool. What a perverted party style. Why a pool party like they are a bunch of teenagers.Perhaps their guests had kinks about seeing lots of skin for entertainment. I greeted a few familiar faces among the crowd of people and stepped out to the backyard where the party was kicking off to start. The moment I stepped fully outside, my eyes immediately found Martin's, and beside him was Kelly. She was wearing a revealin
I reached for my phone on the bedside table. The moment I unlocked it, my stomach tightened. There are several missed calls from Martin, my mother and my stepfather.I stared at Martin's name for several seconds before dialing my mother’s line. She seemed to be alone and unlike how quiet she would be when my stepfather is present, she spoke with care and listened to me rant about everything that had happened the previous night, everything except the night with the stranger.I expressed my wish to cancel the marriage arrangements. She agreed to try her best to convince her husband. I doubt that man could be convinced by my mother though. But at least whatever steps I took to end the goddamn engagement, my mom already understood my reasons. She's the only one whose opinion truly matters to me.The next day.By the time I returned to my home, the atmosphere in the house was suffocating. My stepfather was waiting for me.The moment I walked through the door, his expression darkened. His
The private suite upstairs was quiet. The moment the door closed, the noise from the bar disappeared completely.I stood near the entrance, suddenly unsure of what I was doing. The man noticed my brief hesitation, “You can still change your mind, baby.”My heart skipped a bit. He had just called me what he admitted to calling the woman he would be screwing all night. I looked at him, then I shook my head.“No, daddy.”His gaze darkened with something unfathomable to me as the word daddy left my lips. He approached slowly, giving me every opportunity to move away, but I didn't.His calmness made it easier to breathe. There was no pressure in his touch, no rush. He seemed determined to let me decide what happened next. And somehow, that made me trust him even more. For the first time that night, I stopped thinking about Martin. I stopped thinking about Kelly or the stupid marriage arrangement. I stopped thinking about my family who doesn't seem to care about my happiness and simply let

Monica's stepfather's voice came through the phone dismissive, “Put away your emotions, child and think carefully. Moreover, why would he be with his cousin? You must be overthinking the situation. ” Monica's brows furrowed. “He cheated on me with his own family. He's disgusting.” She screamed into the phone. Arguing with her stepdad always riled her up, because no matter what they argued on, she will still end up doing his bidding and it infuriates her. “Watch your tone girl, All men cheat. Moreover I still think you're reading too much into whatever you think you found out about those two. What proof do you have to back up these allegations anyway.” The words stunned her. Her stepfather continued as though he had said nothing unusual and her mother didn't utter a single sentence. “You can't throw away a marriage because of something like this. Martin is the son of the most respected man in their family, and if everything goes according to plan, he could become the next CEO.”
Monica had always believed that love was supposed to feel like coming home. She had grown in a home full of love at least until her father died and her mom had remarried. She had however looked forward to the kind of love her parents once had, in her future husband. Six months ago, her family had arranged for her to date Martin, the younger son of one of the most powerful families in the city. At first, Monica had been reluctant until she met Martin. He had been patient, respectful and charming, understanding of her reluctance to ease up to him. He took her out to expensive restaurants, sent her flowers, and slowly convinced her that perhaps an arranged relationship did not have to be loveless. He was funny, observant to her needs and gentle with her space. Eventually, Monica fell for him. She fell for the man who had made sure she couldn’t go a night without a certain someone making sure she's okay. She began to daydream about a future as sweet and successful as her parents h
