“I’m sorry, but we can’t do that, sir.”

Janet said sternly, and that made Caden turn his head toward her at once.

“Why?”

He asked his secretary. Whether he was surprised or not about the fact that Janet was speaking sternly to him, he was not. This was not the first time Janet spoke like that to him, and his secretary always had this habit of keeping him checked. And Caden was thankful for that. He gets distracted easily.

“This is a meeting with our shareholders, sir. You can’t miss this. You know how important this is.”
