Rhea's Pov

I stood still, watching Isabelle walk out of the mansion. Her heels clicked lightly against the floor, her hips swaying side and by side and her head high like she was the one who owned this place. She didn’t even look back, but I didn’t miss the way her shoulders stiffened before she disappeared past the gates.

At least she felt threatened enough by me. But still... I was annoyed by her presence and the way her perfume even stayed in the air. Stupid beautiful gorgeous rich lady!

I pressed my lips together, my chest heavy, and without another word I bent down and touched Neveah’s hair, “Come on, let’s go inside.” I whispered softly to her. Then I turned to Laziel, “You too.”

I didn’t look at Alaric. Not once. I was a bit angry, I know it's not his fault, but I was still jealous.

The children followed me in, their small steps echoing in the wide entrance hall. The servants bowed politely, their movements quick and quiet as they carried our luggage up the grand staircase.
