Alaric's POV

I stared at Rhea, silently watching her beautiful and calm face but the scenes of Jones threatening her with a knife flashed in my head multiple times. I clenched my fists, anger surging throughout my body. If I had come later, who knew what kind of story we would have been saying now?! She almost got stabbed by a knife again!

“Alaric!” Nathan walked into the room, “I was able to transfer the footage and you were right, someone had let him into the hospital.” Nathan murmured. I raised my head and took the phone he handed to me, clicking on the video.

Jones had bypassed the security by acting like he was going to visit a family member, however, when he got inside the hospital, he met with another guy who took him to the VIP ward and then left.

My eyes darkened, “Where is he?”

“He realised his cover had been blown so he made a run for it. But our men have surrounded him, it's only a matter of time before they get here.”

It was the same rusted metal pipe he had used to beat Rhea and leave wounds all over her body.
