Chapter 22:

She took the elevator straight up to the first floor, and the elevator door slowly opened in front of her.

In front of the hallway, a handsome man and a beautiful woman walked together, their fingers intertwined, their four eyes locked on each other.

It was Jinx and Jayce.

Lalisa was taken aback, and her first instinct was to press herself against the elevator door, trying to hide herself. She didn't understand why she felt the urge to escape like this.

In her heart, she felt like she was the wrong person in front of them.

Someone who had left their world.

"Jayce, you're always so busy. Maybe you should consider taking on a role so that we both have no chance to meet," Jinx's voice came through, sounding like a pretend, angry child without any hint of threat.

"That's not possible. Let's get married right away," Jayce indulgently said, "As long as you stay at home, I'll come back every day."

"Really?"

"Why would I deceive you?"

They exchanged sweet words and left without anyone else en
