Chapter 7

 

 CEO's Cold But Sweet Wife

Kristi was busy cooking the dishes. She looked at the time and it was already 9:45 P.M. 

  “It's already 9:45 P.M. Feng might be worried now. He never sleeps without me. What do I do now?” She gave a helpless sigh.

 “Kristi? What happened?” Simon asked.

"Head Chef? When did you come here?”

 “When you were looking at the time.”

 “Oh!” Kristi has a wry smile.

  Simon grabbed her hand gently which made Kristi stunned “Huh? head Chef? Wh—”

 “Shhhh? Come on… Follow me.” He took her outside. Kristi saw the cab outside. 

“This…??”

 Simon nodded his head with a smile “Go home. I will take care of the rest. Feng never sleeps without you. More importantly, he might be worried about you.”

“I know but, I can't just leave the work to you and go.”

  Simon knocked on her forehead gently “Idiot! First, you should take care of yourself, then Feng only then work. Don’t worry!" He patted her shoulder “I’ll take care of the rest. After all, I am the best chef ever, Right?”

  Kristi laughed narrowly “Yeah! You're right. Are you sure then?”

 “Yeah! Yeah! Go now.”

  “Thank you, head chef!!” Kristi was grateful to him.

 

  Simon gave a helpless sigh “I told you already no need to call me head chef! Just call me Simon. We are not in the restaurant right now after all. Just call me Simon like you always do when we are outside though I have to request you for that.”

 Kristi chuckle “Alright! Alright! I got it, Simon. I'll get going now. Take care of yourself, okay?”

 Simon nodded his head “Sure! by”

 “Byee!!”

 

 ~At Home~

  Kristi knocked at the door. The door opened from inside with a little hand. She saw a cute little boy with a huge smile showing his bright cute little teeth. 

 His happiness was on another level “Mom!!” he jumped on her like a bird.

“Feng!!” Kristi hugged her back “Aww… Shouldn’t you sleep! It's too late.”

  “But… I can't sleep without you.”

   “This kid only knows how to give trouble.” 

 The familiar voice came from the front. Kristi looked straight and saw a sexy girl in her short nightdress with short open hair.

  “Rina!!” Kristi smiled staring at her.

 “Seriously!” Rina gave a helpless sigh “ Why does he always search for you whenever it's sleeping time? He is okay with me for the whole day but when it's sleeping time, he always searches for you. This kid!!”

Kristi and Feng laughed at the same time looking at each other “Hahaha…”

Kristi hugged her little boy with enormous love “Well… we can't sleep without each other, Right?”

Feng nodded his head “Of course!!” Feng teases Rina by splitting his little tongue.

 “You—” Rina pulled Feng onto her arm “You little devil!!”

  Three of them laughed together. 

  “hahaha”

~At morning 6 A.M~

 Feng and Kristi were both brushing their teeth looking at the mirror. 

  “Mom!! Aunt Rina is really lazy. She never wakes up in time.” His voice was really cute.

 Kristi smiled “Yeah! She must be tired. Let her sleep, Okay?”

“No! Sleeping too much is a bad habit!”

 As soon as Feng brush his teeth and wash face, he ran at upstairs to Rina's room.

  “AAndRina! Wake up!!!” He started to shout.

“Mmmm… Let me sleep, Feng!” She said with her still closed eyes and sleepy voice. 

 

 "Aunt Rina!! It's a bad habit to sleep for so long!!" He started to complain with his cute little mouth. 

Rina slightly opened her eye and looked at the small figure, who was complaining to her. 

   Rina came downstairs with a disappointed face “I mean it! FFengis a real devil.” She showed his face to Kristi “Can you see this breathtaking cuteness? This is just an illusion. There is da evil behind that cute face. I mean it.”

 Kristi chuckled feeling funny “Yeah! Yeah! Here… Drink coffee. I'll make the dinner now.”

   Rina glared at Feng “You little devil!!”

  Feng looked at her in surprise “Devil? What are you talking about? I am just a little cute boy. Aren't you ashamed of yourself to be called a little boy devil? Shame on you!” he turns to look at Kristi “Right mom?”

    “Feng!” Kristi was a little disappointed “You shouldn’t talk that way to your Aunt. Apologized to her now!”

  

  Feng was scared of his mom. He immediately apologised to Rina “Sorry Aunt!”

 “Good boy. Now.. I’ll go to cook food.” Kristi went to the kitchen.

  Rina burst into laughter as soon as Kristi went to the kitchen “Serves you better you devil!” she felt proud of herself “Finally…. He haha… Today, I win.” She was feeling like her nose would even touch the sky now.

     “Ahem! Ahem!” Feng fold his hand “I was just easy on you today. Got it?”

 “Oh!” Rina raised her eyebrow “Is that so?”

 “Y-Yeah! Of course!”

 “So… it wasn't because you were scared of mom, Right?”

 “A-Afraid? Why… why would I ever be afraid of Mom? I… I... Just felt pity for you cause you never win against me.”

  Rina burst out into laughter as she hugged him tightly “There comes my little devil act.” 

  Kristi was making breakfast for the three of them. Listening to their conversation, she was feeling funny and pleasant.

When she first came to this country, It was difficult for her.

 It was around four and half years ago. She used to work in a small restaurant with little income. She was good at cooking but comparing to the professional chef, she was just average. 

 When she first came here, it was difficult for her to adapt to the new environment. She had nobody to rely on. She had no friends. 

   She was already 4 months pregnant. When the owner of the restaurant found out about her pregnancy, she had to quit the job. After that, it was very difficult to find a job. After one month, she met Simon. That was the first day when she met Simon. 

When she asked for help, without any question, he agreed to help her but it wasn't easy.

 Simon's boss also didn’t agree to it cause she was a 5-month pregnant woman. If they let her work there then customers may think that the boss is being careless to a pregnant woman and more importantly, if anything happens to her, then the owner has to take the risk and they didn’t want all this trouble. 

  That time, Simon helped her until she gave birth to her son. After her son was about five-month she met Remi who was a very nice woman. She was her first best friend ever since she came here. Since then, Remi used to take care of Feng when Kristi started to work at the restaurant where Simon worked. Whenever Kristi used to get busy with her work, Remi used to look after her son without any complaints.

  Kristi was always grateful to Remi and Simon who had done many things for her. The people whom she always thought they were her close one, they stab on her back, the people who were just a stranger to her helped her without a question and nothing in return.

 Rina and Simon, we’re best friends. Simon was the one who introduced Rina to her and since then, they started to live with each other.

  She just felt blessed to have people like them around her. 

  After having dinner,  Kristi asked for a favour from Rina “Rina! I need to work overtime today. Please... Look after Feng. I might come at midnight.”

  “Sure! No need to ask.” Rina happily agreed but she was worried about Feng “But... He never sleeps without you. So... It might be a little problem there.”

 Kristi looks at Feng “Feng! My boy! I have to work till late until they don't give any trouble to Aunt Rina Okay? You may not be able to sleep till I come, but try to sleep with Aunt Rina okay? Don’t give her trouble and make me worry okay? Be a good boy! You will be right?”

 Feng was a little unhappy but thinking about his mom working day and night for him he couldn’t say anything.

 He knows that his mom is working till midnight to earn money so that Feng could go to school, eat his favourite food, go to his favourite place.

 Feng smiled “Sure! I'll be a good boy.”

  Kristi was glad to hear it “Good boy.” She took the bag and mobile with her “I’ll go now. Otherwise, I’ll get late now. Bye! Go to school and be good boy alright!”

 Feng nodded his head “Okay, Mom!”

Kristi left in hurry and Feng was still looking at the door with a sad face.

Rina looked at Feng who was trying to hold back his tear. Well, he was just 4 years kid. Of course, he would want to cry after knowing that his mom is coming home late and he will be sleeping tonight without his mom.  

 “Hey, little boy! Aren't you acting too strong? If you want to cry... Cry it. I won't tell your mom. It will be a secret between us. I promise.”

 “Huh? Who would cry?” Feng tears were already about to fall but he was trying his best to hold back in his eye, trying not to let it fall “I'm... I’m not crying okay?” 

 Rina smiled looking at him who was acting strong “Sure! Oh... I forgot to bring my phone. I'll go bring it okay. Stay here.”

 Rina went to the upstairs but stayed at the mid upstairs quietly.

 As soon as Rina went upstairs, the tear which Feng had been holding back, bust out.

 He started to Whimper like a dog. 

 Rina was quietly sitting in the middle upstairs hearing his cry. She smiled thinking in her mind “This little boy! How could he stay strong like that? Even I can't stay strong as he does.” She hugged her knee “They both loved each other very much. Neither Feng can live without Kristi nor Kristi could. They are each other's whole world. I'm just happy that they are letting me share a little part of their world. Damn! I'm so jealous of their love.”
