CHAPTER 31: TRAPPED BY THE MARKET CREEPS

A few more days went by, and I was getting quite bored just lounging around the house. My legs were now better, and I was able to walk by myself. The wound on my head kept me awake at night some of the time. According to Dr. Jain, that was the most serious injury I had sustained in the accident.

And since we hadn't fought in a very long time, I was missing my husband terribly. He never called me, and surprisingly, it pissed me off.

I noticed my leg was better than before as I walked carefully down the stairway, tagging Sia behind me. And I could at least walk alone freely.

"Nice! I feel a lot better now." I mumbled.

"Yes, Khushi ma'am, you have recovered so fast," Sia said from behind.

"Yeah. But now that I can move, I should do something. I'm really bored."

"Yes, you can take a walk in the garden," Sia answered.

"I'd like to go somewhere else. Tell someone to get the car ready."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but it's not possible," Sia spoke as she gripped the hem of her uniform.
