Solution! Finally!

Mabel's POV

He turned to me, his eyes bloodshot red and I involuntarily flinched and let go of his shirt.

"How dare you touch me with your filthy hands" he thundered as he moved closer to me.

"Have you gone completely out of your mind?" he added as he held my arm tightly and pushed me away roughly and walked to his car again.

"Don't you even dare " I growled and he stopped midway.

"What's that?!"

"What do you think you were about to do?!"

"You wouldn't even dare" I scoffed and his hands dropped slowly .

I saw the look of defeat cross his face but it disappeared as soon as it came .

"I demand an apology right now!" I said .

"You're clearly out of your mind" he replied.

I looked down at my wrist watch , it read quarter after Eight o'clock, I still have about one hour and even if I get to work late I don't mind paying the lateness fee.

I need to teach this dimwit a lesson.

"Well I guess you must be jobless just like me" 

"Because I'm not leaving here until you apologize "

"Ma'am, it's enough please " I heard the cab man say and I turned to look at him.

"You're lucky I'm not the only one here" 

"We'd still meet again and I'll squeeze out an apology from you , I promise" I said to him and walked away.

"Let's go" I said to the cab driver as I got into the car and slammed the door.

"I'm sorry for wasting your time " I said to the driver with a small smile as we walked into the car.

"It's okay , I understand," he replied and we continued our journey.

 A few moments later .......

I walked into the coffee shop at exactly quarter to nine.  

At least I didn't get here late.

I took a deep breath in and out. I'm gonna ask my boss for the loan first thing this morning.

At least as early as now , I should know if it'll work or not.

I began preparing for the day's work, determined to take in whatever today throws at me tenaciously.

The entrance door went open and my boss came in, the expression on his face alone was enough to suck up every atom of courage I had .

His face was contorted in a deep frown , he clenched and unclenched his jaw as he walked in.

Deep lines of frown appeared on his forehead. His loud thundering and steady footsteps depicted anger as he walked into his office ignoring each and everyone of our greetings.

My God!!, What the hell is all these?!, Today of all days to be angry!.

I inhaled and exhaled deeply, don't lose hope Mabel!, by this afternoon his mood would have improved.

Yes!, It'd be better in the afternoon, I sighed again and continued my job.

The door to the coffee shop opened and I just happened to look up .

My eyes widened, it turned out to be the guy I had a fight with this morning. I left the counter immediately and walked up to him.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I whispered as I looked up at him.

"Excuse me ?! , this place is open to the public" he retorted.

"Are you stalking me?!"

"Did you come to my place of work to make a scene?" I whispered to him.

"I'd just advise you to drop very plan you have right now"

"Because I'm fully prepared for you !" I replied, rolling my eyes.

"I'm actually wasting my time talking to you" he said

"Let go of me you crazy lady " he said and snatched his hands away from mine.

He walked away and walked into my boss's office.

Wait what ?!, Why is he going into my boss office and no one is stopping in.

"Oh my God No! Are they siblings" they can't be , I dismissed the thought immediately it came.

He has never come here before then why is he here on the day we had a fight, what exactly is this guy up to?!.

I decided to just stop thinking about this guy, all the questions in my head were making me go crazy, and I have a list of other important things that should make me go crazy.

I exhaled deeply and continued my work, practicing by heart what to say to my boss later in the day .

2:00pm ......

"Alright Mabel bye" one of my colleagues greeted me waving .

"Bye " I replied with a small smile.

I packed up my bags, hung it around my shoulder and headed for my boss's office.

Immediately I got there I placed a gentle knock on the door.

"Come in" I heard him call from him, I twisted the door knob and walked inside.

"Good Evening sir"

"Hey Mabel, how are you doing?" he asked .

"I'm fine " I replied with my hands behind me.

"Have your seat please" he said I bowed respectfully and took a seat.

"So, " 

"You wanted to see me?" he asked, closing his book and looking up at me.

"Yes" 

"I wanted to ask for a loan" I replied, whispering the loan part.

"And how much are we talking about?" he asked.

" A hundred thousand dollars? "

"That's a lot of money"

"As much as I would like to help Mabel, I can't afford to loan you up to that"

"Even this whole coffee shop isn't worth that much!" He said and I nodded slowly.

"Yeah I understand" I muttered slowly and stood up.

What was I even thinking of coming to him , that's a really huge amount of money.

"But I think I might know someone who can help," he said as soon as I got to the door.

I turned to him instantly and hurried back.

"You do?!" 

"Yes" he replied , and began searching through his first drawer.

He brought out a card and handed it over to me .

"You can place a call across to his assistant and if you're lucky he'll ask to see you" he said to me .

I grabbed the card from his hands almost immediately.

"Oh my God, thank you so much"

"I really do appreciate this" 

"It's alright you can go on now" he said, I nodded happily and walked out .

Finally, I have a solution to my problem.

Immediately I got outside I brought out my phone and placed a call across to the number on the card.

"Marry my boss or pay back with eighty percent interest " 

" Excuse me , Ma- rry y- our what?!!!" I stuttered and scoffed .
