"What happened, Kiara? Why are you looking pale all of a sudden?" Hunter got worried about her.

Kiara didn't know how to react. Hunter was clearly behaving oddly and she would be a stupid woman to not notice these changes in him.

She decided to ask him out directly and end this problem here. She can't tolerate anyone's advances now that she has started liking Viaan.

"Why are you being so considerate all of a sudden, Hunter?" Looking straight at him, she asked. Her tone was hard, more than usual.

The spark in his eyes dimmed with her question. He frowned slightly.

"What do you mean?" Asking, he screeched his chair and came to her. "Didn't you like my gift?" He asked, leaning over her chair.

Instinctively, she was alerted by the way she pulled herself a few inches back. However, she needed to discuss it if she wished this not to be brought up again.

"I didn't get the notion of this 'gift' all of a sudden." She retaliated, trying to keep her tone as low as she can without sounding rud
