Lu Jingzhe looked at Qingxi, waiting patiently for her response.

"I need some time to think about it. But I promise to be available for him whenever I am needed." Qingxi said. Seeing her complicated thoughtful expression, Lu Jingzhe nodded his head in understatement.

Lu Jingzhe knew where Qingxi was coming from. They barely knew each other for more than a week only and now he was requesting her to reside with them.

They had not even developed that kind of trust to start with and thus, he didn't take it to heart when Qingxi asked for the time to think about it. At least it was better than clear rejection, which means there was still some hope.

He was ready to hold on to that thin thread of hope to cure his kid.
