The man’s features were enough to prove classic elegance, yet there was a dangerous aura around him that barely anyone could ignore; his aura was too much for Rose to bear,
But before she could even make up her mind, one assailant who was taken down with a bullet stood up behind Rose and the man. Rose screamed in even more horror; she thought the dangerous man would hurt the man before her.
Even the man’s people were surprised; they thought all of them had died, but who knew one of them was alive and he dared to target their boss?
The man had a sharp dagger in his hand as he launched at their boss, but the man didn’t even turn his head, sensing the danger; instead, he attacked the man with one hand while still shielding the girl before him.
Before the assassin’s knife could touch the man, he fell; this sudden move shocked everyone; no one noticed how their master blocked the man’s attack; only when the man fell did they see the knife on the assassin’s chest deep buried in his heart.
Rose looked at the horror scene with twisted horror eyes, and her small eyes had the man’s smiling, calm expression.
Rose peered at him with dark eyes; even though these people were not as scary as the man before him, she couldn’t decide if she should believe this man.
The man noticed a tiny blood spot on the girl’s flawless face, which came when he stabbed the man; he gritted his teeth; he found that bastard blood very dirty, and he felt she shouldn’t have something impure on this girl because she was too pure for this world even though his back was covered with that man’s blood.
He raised his hand to wipe off the stain from her face. Rose's eyes widened as she thought the man might as well kill her; she couldn’t keep her eyes open and fainted.
But there was someone to hold her; he didn’t let her fall.
“Young master.” A man called from behind. The man carried the girl in princess style and looked at the person behind him, and when his eyes fell on the person on the ground, he looked at the man.
Rose’s father looked at the man before him with a painful smile on his lips and murmured, “She is yours now; I hope you can shield her as her guardian from them.” He couldn't say them with his voice, but his silence reached the man’s eyes.
“Even if it costs me the world, no one can touch even a hair of hers,” the man said calmly, but Rose’s father understood that this man in front of him meant every word he said.
He gave a relaxed smile and closed his eyes with relief on his expression as if the duty he had in this world had been completed, and it was his time to leave and be with his wife, who died because of him,
In this world, he couldn’t give her enough love because of his duty, but the girl just stood beside him, even knowing they could take their lives anytime, but she didn’t care and said as long as she could be with the man she loves, everything is worth it.
So how could he let her down in the afterworld? He couldn’t let her go alone. Now his little Rose had someone capable of protecting her from the world, so he let go of his will to live and accompany his wife and their child.
The man’s assistant checked on the man and only shook his head. ‘We were late, young master.'' The man said, full of regret; if they had come a little earlier, this family wouldn’t face such a cruel death.
The man looked at the pregnant woman in blood and sighed. “Take care of everything.”
The man felt guilty but could not do anything right now, so he walked away with the girl in his arms without looking back. These people who came with him bowed when he walked past them.
The respect showed the man's worth. Why wouldn’t that be? After all, the man was the only master of the Ariston family, Master Alexander Ariston, the youngest rising syndicate of the North country.
He is 30 years old this year, yet the lord of the dark world is even afraid of his name.
If anyone mistakes him as a gentleman, this scary gentleman would be their life’s biggest regret; this man could be anything but a gentleman; this world doesn’t even exist for the surrounding people.
He didn't even care if the entire world collapsed before him, but the girl he had just saved had a different connection with him because fate had tied them together; otherwise, he wouldn’t even glance if they tore the girl apart.
Alexander brought Rose back to his mansion; since he turned 15, he had a different mansion from his family; he was not a very sociable person and never mixed with people other than his partners in the military.
Even his family was very distant from him because he put a wall between them; when the maids and butlers saw their master carrying a small girl in his arms, they felt like they had fallen from the sky and didn’t even know which plant they were.
“Prepare a clean set of clothes for her.” He just said to his butler, who looked like he was in a dream. Butler Harold came out of a daze when he heard his master’s cold voice.
He hurriedly nodded his head, but before he could ask who this person whom his master carried in his arms was, his master had already stepped up to the stairs and vanished on the second floor.
“Oh my god, someone pinches me. The master even carried a human child in his arms. I thought a human was a virus to him. What’s going on here? Who is she? Don’t tell me she is our master’s illegal……..?”
Alexander sighed and walked out onto the balcony. He needed a moment to clear his head. Lighting a cigarette, he tried to process his thoughts. The moment Rose stepped outside, she became a target. For eight years, those waiting for a chance to strike have been like predators. Rose’s presence had stirred them once more, and they were closing in. Although Alexander wasn’t afraid of these threats, he worried for her safety. Rose had a way of diving headfirst into danger without always considering the risks. Each reckless move she made seemed to draw those lurking even closer, and Alexander knew he would be tied up with his own missions this year, not being around her for 24 hours. Balancing his duties with ensuring her safety was becoming increasingly challenging since the girl was not someone who would be obedient, and the fear of not being able to protect her weighed heavily on him.Ten years ago, he saw her as a responsibility. Now, it is different. Just the thought of her being har
“Lock them in the dungeon for a day. Give them no food or water.”Alexander Ariston did it again. Horror filled everyone’s eyes.Jane and Logan, who had thought the man was being lenient since his princess forced the issue, were surprised. This man never failed to shock them repeatedly.“Uncle,” Logan cried out pitifully. Even though his uncle hadn't tortured them directly, the dungeon was a place he dreaded—one where his uncle inflicted unspeakable horrors on all kinds of enemies. It was a grim location where he showed no mercy.Alexander took perverse satisfaction in capturing his enemies and torturing them on his turf, reveling in the fear he instilled before their eventual demise. It was his way of demonstrating dominance.“Bro, let them go for once. Consider it a special occasion,” Jason, who knew it was Rose’s birthday, pleaded. “Forgive them just this once.”“No way,” Alexander replied firmly. “If I keep giving them chances, they’ll just spoil my little Rose.”He was resolute w
Alexander handed Rose the glass of water, knelt before her, and slowly untied her shoelaces. The great Alexander Ariston, the pride of the North country and warrior god, kneeled before a little girl to untie her shoes."Holy shit," someone exclaimed. The excited audience, who had come to enjoy the show, silently seethed with envy, jealousy, and disappointment. They had expected Alexander Ariston to scold his princess, but they were daydreaming; she completely charmed the man from head to toe. Even Jason Henson, who had entered, hissed at them. He was thankful Alexander Ariston hadn’t boxed up his sister, but even he was surprised.Ariston could have completely ignored Rose’s action, even though he already knew the mess his precious princess had caused, including her altercation with Dawson.Rose grinned ear to ear as she looked at the familiar faces. She and these people had never gotten along because whenever they were around, they clashed with her, taunting and troubling her when h
The security system detected a significant threat, triggering a black alert. Suddenly, a spotlight illuminated them, momentarily blinding everyone."We messed up," Logan yelled from behind as he assessed the situation. He knew nothing good could come of this girl's scheme. "Oh my god, did we get caught?" Jane panicked, while Rose, outwardly calm, felt a storm of worry inside. She believed she had tampered with the system before leaving.Their eyes fell on a figure at the mansion's back entrance, standing in darkness yet commanding attention. "I'm dead," Logan muttered, recognizing his uncle."I thought my little Rose was peacefully sleeping inside. What is my little Rose doing outside at this hour?" The man's commanding voice cut through their fear.Suddenly, Rose, who had caused so much trouble alone, became timid. To save herself, she exclaimed, "Uncle!" Rose, the little betrayer, ran excitedly toward the figure hidden in the shadows.Ignoring the world, Rose jumped on the person, b
On the other side, Peter went to the security room and pulled out the footage. His hand felt cold as he saw these two brats enter the room, and after a few minutes, the bodyguards who were waiting outside the room entered and there was the sound of breaking things and screams.“God, see I am not wrong, it’s them.” Peter pointed at the screen and shouted.“Move.” Matthew pushed Peter away and sat before the monitor, running his fingers over the keyboard.“What is he doing?” Peter asked.“Deleting the footage,” Michael said, knowing Matthew was making the right call. They couldn’t risk anyone discovering the involvement of Rose and Jane.Peter stayed silent and let Matthew and Michael handle everything. After a few minutes, Matthew nodded. “Give them this.” He cleared everything and left with Michael. When Peter emerged, he saw Aaron and finally understood why people said enemies were bound to cross paths. He never liked Aaron, but this was a secret shared among their ranks; Aaron was m
"Damn it, I forgot! Bro, I just saw your princess down the hallway." Boom... The jewelry box’s lid slammed shut with a thud."What did you say?" The way he shouted made Peter jump in fear, suddenly nervous. He was about to explain when Benjamin’s assistant emerged with the box, confirming Peter’s fear of retribution from his brother. Benjamin was notoriously protective when it came to his "princess.""Yes, when I arrived, I saw her down the hallway." Peter was certain he hadn’t seen anything wrong."Are you sure it was Miss Princess and not someone else?" Daniel questioned. Rose would never visit such a place, he believed, knowing her better than himself. But he realized he might be mistaken. Even if she had come to a club at this hour, Alexander would have been informed first. Yet Alexander’s reaction suggested otherwise."Who was with her?" Alexander’s cold, intense eyes fixed on Peter, warning him not to say something displeasing, as if his very life depended on it."I think it was
