The next day, Belle woke with a severe headache due to her last night cries. She stretched her back then looked at the other side of the bed only to find it empty. It was neat, and the sheets were straight without any wrinkles.
"Didn't Alaric come to the room?" Belle asked herself and then shrugged her shoulders, thinking he might be uncomfortable sharing his bed with her.
Belle slipped out of the chocolate brown duvet and headed towards the bathroom. After taking a long bath, Belle walked out of the bathroom with a smile, but the annoying headache was still there. She then wore the bathrobe and looked for clothes that are suitable for the audition.
A dirty brown knee-length gown caught her attention. Belle wore the dress with light brown plums and braided her hair. She looked pure and innocent in that dress. A satisfied smile appeared on her face.
"Where is Gil?" Belle murmured as she walked down the glass staircase. She wanted to ask him about her appea
"I will be waiting for good news." Belle looked at the black Royal Race with her eyes wide as a soccer pan. At first, Belle thought she might be hallucinating, but after pinching her arm for the umpteenth time, Belle comforted her throbbing heart that what just happened was true."Isn't she Belle?" Belle heard a few murmurs from behind her, and she chooses to ignore them. Those people only need a topic to entertain themselves."Look what she is wearing. She is sure a disgrace to her family." another young girl said in ridicule. Belle was well aware of their tactics and walked past them without paying any heed to their nonsense.Inside the hall, a lot of famous actors were present for the audition. The strong fragrance of their perfume suffocated Belle. She chooses to sit in a quiet corner. With her eyes closed, she could still feel the mocking gazes of the people around her."The great Annabelle Smith, whose boyfriend dumped her, is here for the aud
Belle walked into her apartment. Right now, she wasn't in the mood to face Gil or Alaric. All she needs is to rest and calm her throbbing heart. Why the hell she blushed? And what was that with his voice? Alaric was talking to her in a soft and gentle voice. She could feel the change in his tone but was afraid to predict any further. Belle was afraid of the results. "I have to stop him. It would be better if I ignore him." Belle lies flat on the bed with a blank expression on her face. Suddenly a tinge of guilt stabbed Belle in her heart. She had offered her friendship to him, not because she was interested, but she held her own hidden agenda. "It won't harm me to take him as my real friend for one year, and after that, I will fly back to Italy or perhaps Canada to fulfil my dream. For now, I should focus on that land." Belle was finally able to calm her heart and mind. She finally regained her spirit and
"I am going to see grandpa, thought to inform you before leaving." Belle texted Alaric before wearing an off-white shirt with jeans and tied her hair into a ponytail. Within a minute, her phone beeped, showing a message from Alaric. "Be careful. Bellamy is currently in Smiths' mansion." It was probably the longest sentence that Alaric had written in his entire life. Belle gazed at the screen with a faint smile. Her heart suddenly filled with indescribable warmth. "I am not that weak, Mr Walker." Belle unknowingly enjoys teasing Alaric. "I know you are a lioness, Mrs Walker." Alaric replied. "Take care. Bye." Belle hurriedly ended the conversation. No matter how much she tried, she failed to stop her foolish heart, which always beats abnormally around Alaric. "I should leave now." Belle rubbed her chest a little to soothe the pain in her heart and then left for Smith's mansion. An unusual fear emerges in her heart. #
"Mom?" Belle walked in with a sullen face. She had heard all the conversation between her mother and Bellamy. There was no need for her to act dumb. "Don't... don't call me mom. Why Annabelle? Why did you do that?" Nora held Belle' shoulders and jolted her. "Are you going to believe her and not me?" Belle asked with a sarcastic smile. She got her answer when Nora landed a hard slap on Belle' face. Belle didn't say anything. She started laughing in self-mockery. So, all this while she was wrong. Her mother never loved her. It was just a front to hide her guilt. Belle felt a sharp pain in her heart and head, but she stood firmly and did not lose her footing. "Fine! If this is all you want, then so be it. From today onwards, Annabelle Alaric Walker has nothing to do with the Smith family. I will only recognize grandpa as my only family." Belle' eyes turned shape as she gazed at her mother. They were blank and so deep that Nora felt uneasy. Belle tu
The next morning, Belle opened her eyes when a piercing ray of sunlight landed on her face. She rubbed her eyes to adjust them with the light in the room. "Urgh!" Belle held her head in her palms and groaned when a sharp pain hit her head. "You are awake." Belle lifted her head to look at the source of the voice, and her eyes met with cold and dangerous eyes in the world. She held her breath and dropped her head, afraid that she might have done something wrong. "Last night... what happened?" Belle clear her throat and finally managed to ask the question which was bugging her. "Don't you remember?" Alaric's gaze darkened when he thought about last night. Only he knew how he restrained his desires. It was pure torture to him for not being able to touch his wife. "I am sorry for troubling you. After an argument with Bellamy, I let myself get drunk. What happened after that, I don't remember at all." Belle close
Belle sat under a large tree while reading her script. It was her first day on set, and it would be exaggerating if she said she was not nervous. She slowly raised her head and stretched her neck to ease the nerves of her neck. It was painful to bow her head for a long time. After doing so, Belle lazily opened her charming amber eyes and met with the hatred fill eyes of Bellamy, who was staring at her intensely. A knowing smirk appeared on her beautiful and requisite lips. Bellamy was not standing far away from Belle, and she could see the arrogant look in her eyes. 'Let's see if you can still be arrogant after seeing this.' Bellamy thought in her heart and fished out her phone. It was unknown to Belle wh her half-sister was calling, but with the expression on her face, she could somehow guess who the other party was. Not long after, a tall and masculine man walked into the set with a bouquet of roses in his hands. He was handsome and quite
In the dressing room, Belle did her make-up with the help of the make-up artist. Later it was time for her to change into her costume. After about fifteen minutes, Belle stepped out of the dressing room. When the production crew turned to look at Belle, they were all in awe. How could someone look beautiful wearing beggars' clothe? "Am I the only one who thinks Belle look like a fairy?" One of the crew members voiced out his opinion, and others subconsciously nodded their heads. "Come, Belle. We will start with a test shoot." Director Nolan was excited and hurriedly waved his hand, indicating everyone to take their positions. The first shoot was of Belle showing a girl from a small village. A young girl wearing a dirty brown knee-length skirt was squatting near a large tee trunk with a satisfied smile on her cherry lips. Her beautiful round eyes were staring at the bright blue sky with so many secrets hidden in them.
Tod and Bellamy left for the Smith mansion in the afternoon. Mr and Mrs Maskal were invited over to the Smith mansion for dinner. Both families were happy to connect through the bond of marriage. "I am glad that my son did not choose that wretched woman for marriage." Mrs Maskal's intentions were clear. She was hitting Belle as a wretched woman. Lucky her, that wretched woman was not present there, or she would not be able to bear the consequences. "Let's not talk about a bad omen. We are gathering here to discuss the future of our children. Don't bring unlucky people." Mr Maskal reprimanded his wife. For him, Belle was a jinx. "Mom, Dad, Uncle, Aunt." As the elders were talking, Tod and Bellamy entered the living room. Both greeted the elders with a sweet smile. "Oh my! Come sit with aunt, darling." Mrs Maskal's face lit up when she saw her son with Bellamy. "I see why my daughter is head over heels for you." Mr Smith nodded his head in
