Chapter Ten

As the sun peeked through the lacy white curtains, it couldn't resist playing a game of hide-and-seek with a certain beautiful face.

The rays of sunshine danced mischievously, trying to land on her nose, but Scar's sleepy expression made it a challenging task.

In her dreamy state, Scar stirred like a graceful sloth, her limbs tangled in the bedsheets like a professional contortionist. With one eye half-open, she clumsily reached for her phone, hoping it was still the crack of dawn.

But alas, the digital numbers mocked her with their bright red glow, displaying the dreaded time: 9:00 am.

A gasp escaped Scar's lips as she realized she had overslept, her heart pounding like a bongo drum.

With a swift kick, she launched herself out of bed, her hair looking like a wild bird's nest, and her pajamas looking like they had been attacked by a kitten.

In her rush, Scar stumbled over her own feet, performing an impromptu dance routine that would make even the most seasoned ballerina jealous.
