Chapter Ninety-Seven

Seeing Michelle there at the mall was the last thing Scarlett expected. And Michelle was working as a maid in the mall!

Scarlett stared at her as shame burned in Michelle’s eyes.

The past memories of how they met at Sebastian's company came flooding in. Scarlett’s heart which would normally hate anyone who dared to stand her up, melted on seeing the state Michelle found herself.

Michelle had tried so hard to sabotage the likeness and the playfulness Scar tried to share at the office back then.

The memory of how she had even made her add sugar to Sebastian's coffee and ended up getting the coffee thrown on her shirt, came flooding back. Michelle had really been a thorn in Scar’s flesh. She had really dealt with her and made her life miserable, but for some reason, Scar couldn't find it in her to hate Michelle.

She was willing to forgive and let go of the past. Michelle was already paying for her sins by working as a common maid in the mall. What other punishment was worse than this?
