“Our reporters are not just you, many can replace” Gavin replied just to make her eyes fierce

“Who ? you already have a choice ? tell me ?” she demanded glare at him

“The competitors channels succeed after hiring young people, at this rate, we can lose” he reason while she groan and tucked her blonde hair, he just want to help Diane, He knew her problem with Nancy, he just didn't want to harm them

“What if a loyal audience decides to watch another channel?” she asked back with thinned her eyes  

“We cannot depend forever on loyal viewers, we must also get new viewers” he voice steady while Diane shook her head

“Diane Lockhart News Night has been airing for seven years with the most current viewers and the highest rating. you know that!” she smirked with smug expression

“You are too arrogant, this is how you thank me? because trying to put Nancy? Forget it, make detailed plans for this project before tomorrow meeting, we are done now!” he said adamantly his voice louder than before while Diane just glare, gaping and disbelief.

Kurt arrived at the firm and rushed to the bathroom in his room, trying to clean himself and change his clothes, when he out the room he saw Will's figure waiting for him, already sitting on his visitor's chair

“So...where are you from, like someone being chased by zombies” he fold his arms on the table with nasty grind

“Nuh, just discharged by disaster” he said gruffly while will quirked eyebrow 

“What that’s mean?” he replied with expression confused

“I tell you later” he shrug while take a deep breath and searching file on his desk, Will want to open his mouth just close it again “-Is client here?” he continued with a slight glance at Will while fix his notebook

“Yes in the conference room” he said glance to conference room back to kurt

“Can you deal with them for a moment while I searched my file” He looked at Will face while cocking his head to the side

“Sure, Then I’ll talk to you later” he replied nodding in agreement.

“Okay, thanks” he smiled under his mustache and continued searching his file in confuse, when will step out the room heading to conference room

In the meeting room at the news agency, people talk about Malcolm Overby, all the media find out about Malcolm but the results are non, they only know that Malcolm is a golfer from Chicago without knowing his background

“My senior went to illinois, but he didn't even see his reflection. even the president is crazy about Overby, to give special orders to contact him at every event” Zedd said reporter from the sports field

Diane enter the meeting room with her expression thunderous, sitting in the middle of the conference, she thinking about what Gavin said earlier when people still talk about Malcolm

“Who discovered him, they would get unique, exclusive, and center of attention. If you are lucky, you will also become executive Directors, that's the point, it's very... tempting” zedd continued made Diane curious hear that with thinned her eyes

Director Firth came in with David lee in his side, making reporters at various events sit down on their chair

“Are you ready to change the structure of the news anchor next week?” he said to all reporters in thats room

“I'm getting tired with Malcolm Overby, Everybody is talking about the golfer” Zedd answered represent all reporters

“I agree” he replied and continue discussing the documentary program given to Diane while Diane stare to him with glare, everyone stared at each other, pleased with the decision, only one person cared about Diane thats it reporter Cary, he asked how about the News Night, with that Director firth mentioned Nancy name, and ask if she is ready

“Me? I have to do my best if you give me a chance” she said hesitantly trying to hide her enthusiasm while Diane think hard to find a way to maintain her place as a News Night anchor, she didn’t want to lost that easily, she was the one who made the rating of the News Night high, she sacrificed a lot for that sake, she didn't want to let it go that easily, she remembered Zedd's words before, without thinking, Diane uttered her thoughts to defend herself.

“Exclusive interview with Malcolm Overby in News Night, is that enough?” she said steady, her expression smug with smirked in her face

“Diane Lockhart...” David lee drawl lowly just to be stop by Director Firth with his hand up

“Wait, what you say? Exclusive interview with Malcolm Overby?” he repeated Diane words with his eyes flashed to her

“I plan to bring that to you on a change of structure next week” she answered with confidence, show her eyes striking and smug smile, Diane succeed make Director Firth considering her idea, Gavin also knew that Diane was competent, she could get anything if she wanted, but her words surprised all the reporters, making people unhappy with her words, which could hold her position.

With that the meeting was over where Diane and team leader David lee be invited in Director Firth office, to discuss her words and plan

Team leader David Lee and Diane were in the Director firth room, David Lee very upset with Diane

“Isn't that too ridiculous? I know you are not willing to let go of that position. But we have decided to give it to Nancy. Do you have a specific source?” David growled while rolled his eyes, Diane just sat relaxed, with her arms crossed when Director’s firth just kept thinking quietly

“I wouldn't say that without a source, Gavin” she reasoned but the answer was directed at Director’s firth

“Source! Who is the source? Zedd from -sport line-? Or Director’s Jonas of all about golf?” David kept grumble, not believing Diane words

Diane just rolled her eyes at David “What do you want me to do, Gavin? Get an interview with Malcolm Overby or not?” she say Ignored David who is sit next to her

“You are kidding! You have to get it.” Director Firth immediately jolted to say that to Diane

David Lee gaped while Diane smiled broadly “what about Nancy?” David tried to defend his juniors, just to be stopped by Director Firth by raising his right hand

“Wait. CBS will do something CNN can't do. Prove your reputation as the main news anchor of News Night” he said while laughing, spinning around his chair, turned to the Diane and forgot about David who was in the room

“But, Gavin-” David murmured in disbelief, again just to be stopped by Director’s firth

“But, if you fails. Not only to back away from the News Night, you also have to back away in your position, understand?” he said curiously with his eyes focused on Diane

“Okay” Diane answered confidently and remained calm try to avoid his gaze

With that they were allowed out by Director’s Firth and continue their respective work but team leader David Lee still grumble when he returned to his room with Diane

“You are really crazy! You are showing off and arrogant. Are you afraid to get fired? How could you lie like that’s. Huh, Malcolm Overby? You want to be fuck up before getting fired!” David Lee Barking by rolling his eyes with a hand pointing at Diane, Diane tried to avoid David with looks for files on her desk and stops when David finishes what he said

She sight put a hand on her waist, glared at him sarcastically and headed towards him “I took your preacher position before you could do anything, what? Nancy Crozier! that your only trick after seven years” she hissed with her eyes focus to him ”-... David ... David, that's why you never succeed” she shook her head with smirked

David gulped and blinked his eyes, clearing his throat “We gave you award yesterday. we made you famous. You should be aware and get out well!” he said a little loudly avoiding her gaze

Diane just chuckle mocking him and looked back at him with a smug smile “you know what, that is so embarrassing to be played like you. I left and stopped according to my wishes” she muttered slowly, making David not open-mouthed and....
