Adrian's POV

The private investigator's report sat on my desk like an accusation and I had read it so many times the words blurred together.

Ava was alive, safe, and working in a bookstore in Silver Creek territory and living in a room above the shop.

Relief should have flooded through me but rage came instead. She was close enough to reach yet completely beyond my grasp.

The investigator had been clear about the complications. Prince Dante had placed her under unofficial protection and anyone who interfered would face consequences from the Alpha King himself.

I threw the report across the room and watched it scatter across the floor. My wolf snarled inside my chest and demanded we go get what belonged to us.

But nothing was that simple anymore. Not when politics and power stood between me and the woman I could not stop wanting.

Beta Jacob knocked before entering my office. He took one look at the scattered papers and sighed like a man who had run out of patience.

"Tell me you are not

  • CHASING HIS REJECTED LUNA   GOODBYE AND VOW

Adrian's POVThe letter arrived with the morning mail and Jacob brought it to my office with an expression that told me he already knew what it contained. My hands shook as I opened the envelope. Ava's handwriting covered two full pages and every word felt like a knife twisting deeper into my chest. She had loved me. Past tense and that simple grammatical shift destroyed something fundamental inside me.I read about the Summit Ball. About watching me with Sophia and feeling her heart shatter. The pregnancy scare made me stop breathing. She had thought she might be carrying my child and had gone through that terror completely alone."I cannot forgive what you did with Sophia." The words blurred as tears I refused to acknowledge filled my eyes. "Trust once broken so thoroughly cannot be rebuilt."She was right. I knew she was right but that did not make it hurt any less. The letter ended with finality that left no room for hope. She wished me happiness but could not be part of my life a

  • CHASING HIS REJECTED LUNA   RECLAIMING MY NARRATIVE

Ava's POVI watched Adrian and Dante from the bookstore window and my hands shook with anger that had been building for months. They stood in the street arguing like I was some territory to be divided between them instead of a person with my own thoughts and feelings.Margaret touched my shoulder gently. "Are you alright, dear?""No." The honesty felt liberating. "But I will be once I stop letting them dictate my life."I went upstairs to my tiny room and sat at the desk Tom had given me when I first moved in. The wood was scratched and the chair wobbled but it was mine. Two sheets of paper. Two letters that needed to be written before I could move forward with any kind of peace. The letter to Adrian came first because his betrayal had cut deepest and needed the most words to explain. My hand moved across the page and years of love and pain poured out through the ink. I told him I had loved him with everything I had and that part of me probably always would. But the betrayal with Soph

  • CHASING HIS REJECTED LUNA   PRIZE TO BE WON

Adrian's POVThe message from Jacob came through while I was reviewing pack security reports and the words made my vision blur with rage.Dante had been spotted in Silver Creek. Multiple witnesses confirmed he had spent over an hour with Ava at a local café and they had been laughing together. My wolf howled inside my chest. The thought of Ava smiling at Dante while I was stuck managing pack politics made violence surge through my veins."You cannot go to Silver Creek." Jacob stood in my office doorway like he could physically block me from leaving. "The bonding annual pack festival is in ten days.""I do not care about the ceremony." I grabbed my keys. "Dante is making his move and I will not sit here doing nothing."Jacob moved to block the door. "Your mother will lose her mind if you disappear right now.""Then my mother can handle the ceremony herself." I pushed past him. "I am done sacrificing my happiness for pack politics."The drive to Silver Creek felt endless. Every mile str

  • CHASING HIS REJECTED LUNA   CONFESSION OVER COFFEE

Ava's POVThe bell above the bookstore door chimed and I looked up from shelving romance novels to see Dante standing in the entrance. My heart stopped. He looked different somehow and the usual arrogance that clung to him like cologne had faded into something softer and more uncertain."Ava." My name sounded rough coming from his mouth. "Can we talk?"Every instinct screamed at me to refuse. To tell him he had no right to show up in my safe space and demand my attention. But something in his expression made me hesitate. He looked almost vulnerable and I had never seen Dante vulnerable before."Margaret, I am taking my break." I did not wait for her response before walking toward the door.Dante followed me outside and the afternoon sun felt too bright after the dimness of the shop. We walked in silence toward the small park two blocks away. The park was empty except for an elderly woman feeding pigeons. We sat on a bench far enough away that she could not hear our conversation."I sa

  • CHASING HIS REJECTED LUNA   LOVER OVER CONTROL

Dante's POVThe report sat on my desk and Marcus waited for my reaction while I read it for the third time.Ava had been sick for three consecutive mornings. She had purchased a pregnancy test from the pharmacy and spent an hour locked in her bathroom. My wolf snarled inside my chest and the papers crumpled under my grip. The thought of Ava carrying Adrian's child made violence surge through my veins."The test was negative." Marcus spoke carefully like he was approaching a cornered predator. "She is not pregnant."Relief and anger warred inside me. I stood and paced to the window because sitting still felt impossible right now."How extensive is your surveillance network in Silver Creek?" My voice came out rougher than intended. "You seem to know everything except what she eats for breakfast."Marcus did not flinch at my tone. "You ordered comprehensive monitoring. I delivered comprehensive monitoring."He was right and that made my frustration worse. I had wanted to know everything

  • CHASING HIS REJECTED LUNA   THE UNEXPECTED GRIEF

Ava's POVThe morning sickness started on a Tuesday and I barely made it to the bathroom before my stomach emptied itself.Ruth knocked softly on the door while I knelt on the cold tile and tried to remember what I had eaten that might have caused this."Dear, are you alright?" Her voice carried concern through the thin wood. "This is the third morning in a row I have heard you being sick."Three mornings. The realization hit me like ice water and suddenly I could not breathe properly.I splashed cold water on my face and stared at my reflection in the mirror. My skin looked pale and my eyes held fear I could not hide. The calendar in my room confirmed what my body already suspected. My heat cycle was late and not just by a few days.Panic clawed up my throat as I counted backwards. The last time I had been with Adrian was the night before the Summit Ball and that felt like a lifetime ago.We had been desperate for each other that night. Frantic and consuming and completely unprotecte
