Subconsciously, Rebecca dragged Axel, but it was too late. She was only fortunate the bullet hit Axel’s shoulder, instead of his back.

Her late drag helped a bit, by saving Axel from being shot in a vital place.

“Axel!” She screamed as blood rushed out of his left shoulder.

Axel’s shoulders slumped, he held his bleeding shoulder with his right hand as he slowly turned.

“Son of a bitch.” He muttered under his breath and the next thing he heard was a gun shot.

The man who shot him was shot in the stomach and within the blink of an eye, he was on the floor gasping for breath.

“In your next life, do not act out of emotions.” When Axel heard Kira’s voice, he knew she was the one that shot the guy, and he couldn’t help but to be proud.

“You’re bleeding a lot!” Rebecca panicked. “Someone call 911.”

“It’s not that deep. We have to go home, I’ll get treated at home.” Axel spoke softly.

“Not that deep?” Rebecca was annoyed.
