Rebecca had finished crying, and she was seated on the floor with her hands wrapped around her knees. She couldn't cry anymore, she was tired and hungry, she hadn't eaten anything since the previous day. Just as if her mind was being read, the door opened and Kira walked in, holding a tray of food.
"Get up quickly." Kira said, as she dropped the tray on the bed, ignoring the scattered bedsheet.
Rebecca spared the food a stare, and surprisingly, it was her favorite meal, stir-fried spaghetti.
"Eat up fast, you need to prepare. I made the chef prepare the food with extra spice. I was told you liked it." Kira informed her, before walking out of the room.
She was taken aback. It was true she liked her food extra spicy. How did Kira know about that? Who told her? She was still trying to figure it out when her eyes spotted the tulip of roses on the bedside table. She had seen the flowers when she woke up, but she didn't give attention to it, but now that she thought of it, she became astonished. It was her favorite flower.
She waved the thought and climbed the bed, instantly devouring the food like a hungry lion. In less than five minutes, she was done eating. She drank the juice for easily digestion and took a deep breath after that.
Immediately, the door opened and Kira walked in with a girl. The girl was holding a big box. She placed the box on the other side of the bed and then took the tray out of the room.
"How do you always know when to come in?" Rebecca asked, feeling amused.
Kira always came in at the right time and somehow it was satisfying.
"This box here contains the things you'll be needing to dress up. The boss has brought this to you, you're so lucky." The way Kira said the words with malice didn't go unnoticed.
Rebecca noticed the girl had purposely ignored her question, but she didn't budge, she let it be. Moreover, she had important things to be worried about.
"I don't know what your boss wants or who he is, I just want to go home." She muttered to Kira's hearing.
Kira laughed lightly and Rebecca creased her brows, wondering what was funny in what she said.
"I doubt that, Rebecca," Kira said. She opened the box and pushed it to Rebecca.
Rebecca stared into the box and a frown appeared on her face. "Why do I need all these?" She questioned.
The box contained a black gown, silver heels, a diamond bracelet and a necklace.
"Because you need to look your best before meeting with the boss... Now get up, go to the bathroom, freshen up and put this on, understood?" Kira instructed.
Rebecca scoffed, she didn't understand anything, the whole thing looked like a movie.
"And what if I don't?" She stood her ground. She didn't like the fact that she was being ordered around like a lost puppy.
Without saying a word, Kira dipped her hand in her jacket pocket and took out a gun.
Rebecca backed away immediately. Her heart raced, beating in her chest like a drum. Fear crept up her spine, and the only thing she could do at that moment was to cry.
Kira rolled her eyes as she stared at the poor girl. "Now that you know what I'll do if you don't do as I say, you better adhere to anything I tell you. Understood?"
Rebecca nodded quickly, and a satisfactory smile appeared on Kira's lips.
"Good girl. I'll be back to take you to him." With that being said, Kira walked out of the room.
Rebecca rushed to the bathroom in tears, she didn't want to take chances.
Some minutes later, she was dressed in the outfit, and she looked so gorgeous in it.
If it was a normal day, she would take her time admiring her figure, but not in this situation.
As she walked beside Kira, her melancholic eyes were fixed in a particular direction. She didn't give attention to the luxurious decor of the place.
They got outside the building and even though it was nighttime, the whole place looked bright because of the numerous lights fixed everywhere.
A young man approached them, holding a bouquet of roses.
When he got to them, he handed the bouquet to her, and she didn't want to take it. But as soon as she recalled Kira's action earlier, she collected the bouquet from him.
She watched the guy whisper something to Kira, and he then walked away after that.
"You are so lucky." Kira muttered to her hearing, and she wondered what the girl meant by that.
They continued walking, and Kira stopped when they got to the garden entrance.
"Go on from here. Don't try to do anything stupid, I'll be watching you." She warned her and walked away.
Rebecca took a deep breath, wondering what was awaiting her there.
As she entered the garden, a light gasp escaped her lips. The pathway was adorned with twinkling lights and lanterns, casting a golden glow on the flowers there.
A sweet fragrance welcomed her, and she could tell it was from the roses around the garden.
Whoever the boss was, he definitely knew her favorite flower was a rose.
She spotted a beautifully set table in a quiet corner.
When she got to where the table was, she met a huge figure standing four meters from the table.
His back was turned against her, so she couldn't see his face.
The golden lighting cast a glow on his broad shoulders, highlighting the tension in his posture.
She didn't know if he knew about her presence there, so she decided to speak up. "Hey." She cooed.
She didn't get a reply.
The atmosphere was heavy with anticipation. Her gaze was fixed on his back, searching for clues that might reveal his identity.
Her heart raced with a mix of curiosity and trepidation. She took a deep breath and decided to take a bold step. She walked closer to him and just when she was about to tap his shoulder, he slowly turned to her.
Her hand stopped midair immediately she saw his face. The bouquet fell from her hand.
Her expression transformed from curiosity to shock. Her eyes dimmed, it was as if she had just seen a ghost.
Time freezed as they locked eyes, the air thick with unspoken words.
The silence between them was awkward. Only the gentle rustling of leaves and the soft chirping of birds could be heard.
Her lips parted, but no words came out. She took a step backward, her brain scrambling to process the unexpected situation.
"Axel." His name left her mouth in a whisper.
She grabbed the blanket on the bed and covered her body with it even though she was fully clothed. As she stepped out of her room, she came across a guy standing in front of her door.“Do you need something?” He asked calmly. Her brows furrowed. “What are you doing here?”“The boss asked me to stay here just in case you need something.” The guy replied. She let out a scoff. “I see.” She wasn’t dumb. She knew Axel made him stay there so she wouldn’t go out. He knew she would try to go for the dinner with Fernando, hence he placed someone there to watch her.“I’m thirsty and I need a pineapple juice.” She told him. To her disappointment, instead of him leaving to get the juice, he touched the ear bud in his ear.“Please bring a pineapple juice here.” He spoke to the person on the other end. She clenched her fists in annoyance. Without saying a word to him, she tried to leave but he stopped her by blocking her movement.“I’m sorry ma’am but you can’t leave your room p
Rebecca woke up to a sweet smell, her eyes opened slowly and the first thing she saw was the white ceiling above her head. She moved her gaze sideways and she spotted a drip fixed to her left hand, and it was then she realized where she was. She turned to the other side and her eyes lit up when she saw a big bouquet of roses. It was the biggest she had seen in her entire lifetime. She sat upright, resting her back against the wall, and just immediately, the door to the ward opened and Axel walked in.“You’re awake?” He was surprised, but from his tone she could tell he was also excited.“Hey.” She cooed, as she stretched her free hand towards the bouquet and began rubbing it.“How are you feeling now? Do you feel good?” He questioned. Just as she was about to reply, she felt a sharp pain in her tummy, but she didn’t make a sound. “Guess I’m okay. What happened?” Axel was silent for a while, obviously thinking of what to tell her. “You um passed out because of stress.”
He jerked out of his thought when Rebecca suddenly screamed. “Ouch!” She screamed again as she grabbed her belly.“What’s going on?” Axel demanded, his voice sharp with panic as he held under her arm, stopping her from falling directly to the floor.“My… my stomach!” She cried, clutching it in pains. She felt another sharp pain in her lower abdomen and she screamed horrifically, unable to stop herself. The men around rushed to the scene immediately. They had been staring the whole time from the sidelines and when they saw how the situation escalated, they rushed in.“Get the car ready!” Axel instructed. She felt something warm rushing through her legs and at that moment, realization suddenly dawned on her. Tears streamed out of her eyes as she got hit by another pain, and the last thing she could remember was Axel carrying her in his arms and after that it was a total blackout.***** Axel stood outside the ward, with Kira beside him. He had his head covered with an hoodie
Axel moved his hand away from her hair. He had a confused look on his face. Ever since she returned from the mission, he could tell something was off about her, but he just didn’t know what it was. And suddenly asking for time alone proved his suspicions right.“You aren’t okay being here?” Rebecca shook her head. “Not that. I just need some time alone to reflect on myself.” “You don’t have time Rebecca, you need to get your father’s properties as fast as you can, hence you’ll lose it forever.” He warned, his eyes narrowing.“How?” She questioned curiously.“You don’t need to know about that. You just have to…”“That’s the problem, Axel.” She cuts in. “It’s frustrating how you keep leaving me in the dark and still want me to cooperate. If you’re really helping me, then I don’t think you should hide stuff like this from me. At this point, I think you are more concerned about yourself and whatever you are doing now is only going to benefit you and…” she stopped to catch her breat
She wanted to have a private talk with Fernando, something Axel and Kira wouldn’t know about. Besides, she wasn’t in the mood to continue with the mission, she would do what she came here for initially. She picked the smashed buds from the floor and went to flush it in the toilet to avoid suspicions. When she was done, she washed her face with water and took a breath. As she returned to the study room, Fernando had his gaze on her.“You promised you weren’t going to cry.” He said, upon noticing the water on her face.“I didn’t.” She replied calmly. “About what you were saying, do you have any idea on who wanted him dead, and why?” Those were the questions bothering her. If it really wasn’t an accident then they had to be a reason for it. Fernando cleared his throat and the two men at the door left the room immediately, leaving only her with him. He shifted closer to the edge of the couch and placed his hands on his laps. “What I’m about to tell you will come as a shock
When she got to where the men were, they pointed guns at her. “Who are you?” They asked in unison.“I am Rebecca Lu…”“Don’t.” She heard Kira’s voice from the bus. “Don’t say your surname.”“I am Rebecca.”One of the men scoffed. “Who cares about your fucking name?”“But you asked who I was and…”“Your identity!” He said firmly. “Is the boss expecting you?” “No, I…” Their grips on their gun tightened. “Then what are you doing here?”“Can you please call him and let him know Rebecca is here? Please.” To her surprise, they didn’t bulge. She watched as the guy touched the bud in his ear and spoke to whoever was at the other end.“Rebecca who?” She kept quiet, waiting for Kira to tell her what to say, since she stopped her earlier from saying her surname.“The daughter of his late friend, Michael.” She repeated what Kira told her. She noticed how the men observed her as she said that, and she couldn’t help but wonder why. The men exchanged looks after one of them whi
Immediately Rebecca heard that, she pushed Kira’s hands off her shoulders and moved back. Her brows furrowed, forming wrinkles and from the look on her face, one could tell she was displeased by what she just heard.“You planned this with Axel, right?” She accused.“No. Axel doesn’t know about this, he doesn’t even care about the pregnancy…”“Then why do you care? Why do you want me to get rid of it?” She fired. Kira hit her forehead in frustration. “Here we go. This is why I never wanted to agree to help you.”“So getting rid of my baby is your definition of help?” She scoffed. “Make it make sense.”“Yes. The child belongs to Eric, and nothing can be hidden under the sun. He’s definitely going to find out one day, and that’s like an advantage to him cause with the child he has high possibilities of taking over your father’s properties.” Kira explained detailedly. Rebecca wasn’t still convinced, not for a bit. “Who is going to tell him? You? Axel? Aside both of you no one else
Rebecca stood there in silence, contemplating on what to do. From Axel’s recent behavior, she began doubting if he really wanted to help her, or he needed her to accomplish his goals, because everything was always about him. But then, she didn’t have anywhere else to go, or who to help her. A thought suddenly crossed her mind. Fernando! He was a very good friend of her dad, and she was sure he would help her if she came clean to him. But then, how would she locate him? She turned, scanning the environment with her eyes, and her gaze landed on Axel who was at the shooting range alone. Taking a deep breath, she approached him just when he was about to shoot.“Hey.” She cooed. He spared her a stare before focusing on what he was doing.“I’m sorry about earlier. I just…” she inhaled deeply. “I just didn’t know what to do. Fernando was so nice to me and dad and hearing about him after a long time might have sparked my reaction.” He didn’t reply her. He had his gaze focuse
She was taken aback by his request. Steal? She had never stolen anything and Axel knew that. But what could the thing be and why didn’t Axel send someone else? Many thoughts filled her mind as she waited for him to explain further. She wrapped her hands around her breasts, not because she was shy, but because she suddenly felt cold. She clenched her thighs tightly, trying so hard to surpress the urge to grab Axel and make him do the dirtiest stuff she had in mind. Axel didn’t speak, there was a deafening silence between them and she knew he wouldn’t say anything if she refused to speak first.“Steal what?” He moved closer to her. “I’ll tell you full details later, but for now….” He grabbed her neck roughly and a light gasped escaped her lips. “Let’s make you cum.” With his hand still on her neck, he pushed her to the wall and her back hit the wall roughly.“Shouldn’t we go to a room.” She asked beneath her breath. She was already feeling the tension.“Why would
