—Silvio

I tapped my fingers on the desk, trying to ignore the itching sensation spreading through my skin. It started as a faint irritation, barely noticeable, but now it was growing stronger, almost unbearable. My jaw tightened.

I knew what this meant.

Ever since that night at the club when I first sensed the crystal's presence, I had been restless. And then, I met Klein. There was something strange about him… something familiar yet unexplainable.

The sensation had first hit me at my place, then at the club. And now, here.

I couldn’t shake the feeling that he was connected to what I was searching for.

But how?

I looked up at the door, sensing movement outside. A moment later, Klein burst into the office, completely out of breath.

"I'm sorry, sir, but I need to go home," he rushed out.

Before I could respond, he spun on his heel and bolted out, vanishing down the hallway.

I stared after him, my eyes narrowing.

That’s when I saw it; a faint glow at the back of his neck.

A light?

—KleinSleep? Who needs that? Certainly not me; especially not when my birthmark decided to turn into a personal branding iron overnight. Something was seriously wrong because this was beyond strange; it had never happened before. But I did not plan to tell my parents . If they found out, I’d be thrown into full parental lockdown, complete with home-cooked meals and overprotective nagging. They’d probably chain me to my bed if they knew.I rubbed my eyes and dragged myself out of bed, immediately greeted by the smell of food. I had crashed at Simon's place last night after work, and this morning, my occasionally thoughtful but mostly chaotic friend had apparently decided to play the role of a caring person. He had made breakfast. As I approached the table, taking in the spread, I noticed a note sitting next to the plate."Be careful of that guy, Silvio. He could be dangerous."I chuckled at his dramatic warning and dropped the note back on the table before heading to the fridge. I had

“I came for a job,” he said smoothly, flashing a small, almost mischievous smile.I narrowed my eyes at him. That was a little too forward, even for me. I expected Silvio to respond like any other boss, maybe ask him some questions or at least pretend to consider his qualifications. But to my utter disbelief, he did neither."You're hired."Wait, just like that? What kind of man was Silvio? I was still lost in thought when he looked at me. He didn't need to say a word, I already knew he wanted me to take this new guy out of his office. With a slight bow, I made my way out and pulled the guy along with me."I had no idea you worked here," he said.I abruptly turned to look at him, my brows furrowing. He was a little taller than me, and unlike Silvio's piercing gaze, his eyes were dark and shiny. But now wasn’t the time to admire them."Did you follow me here?""Wouldn't that be a little too confident of you to assume?" he shot back.Yeah, he had a point. It would be insane to think he

    — KLEIN “You were cut…” he said slowly. “So why aren’t you bleeding?” My breath caught, and my eyes widened. Had he seen that? I glanced down at my arm. Damn it. I needed to act like he was mistaken, but how could I, when my sleeve was clearly torn where the glass had cut me, yet my skin underneath was… perfectly fine? Of course, I was fine. This wasn’t unusual. Not for me. I'd witnessed this happen too many times before. But something was different. Just moments ago, when that guy had cut me, I’d felt lightheaded, almost dizzy.Simon cleared his throat dramatically, his arm still firmly wrapped around my shoulder. “Alright, boss man, I think that’s our cue to leave,” he said, flashing a fake smile at Silvio before dragging me away. "Simon, wait—" I tried to protest, but he shot me a glare.Fantastic. My so-called best friend had apparently appointed himself as my personal bodyguard and had no intention of letting me stay.“Yeah, nope, you two can have your intense, romantic

—KLEIN.I stood by the counter in the club, my eyes sweeping across the crowded space. Some people were dancing, others were in pairs, and a few were making out under the pulsating blue and red lights. Typical. This was "Neon Fever", after all. The moment I got home from work, I received a text from Simon, followed by a call, asking if I wanted to hang out. Honestly, it was the best invitation I could have hoped for, and I was beyond grateful. It had been ages since I last spent time with the guys.Tonight was supposed to be all about fun, but that plan quickly fell apart. The club was overflowing with customers, most of them drunk, which meant we had to step in and help. So much for a carefree night."You good?" Simon asked, appearing beside me. He leaned his elbow and back against the counter as we both stared ahead. Without answering, I grabbed the glass of tequila Giovanni had given me earlier, downed it in one go, and pushed the empty glass away."Giovanni is so annoying, " S

  • The Sweetheart From the Stars   Chapter 0009

—SILVIOI sensed him before I saw him. Leaning against the doorframe like a curious child, Klein thought he was being discreet. He wasn’t. His heartbeat was steady, sharp, and fast. I shifted my focus away from the door and shot Luhnax a glare. He immediately lowered his gaze to the floor, his jaw tightening and his fists clenching. From our last conversation, I knew he was agitated about Klein’s presence, but he’d left after I assured him I had everything under control. He was confused, I knew that much, but he had no choice but to believe me. But his visit this time couldn’t have been worse. I had been changing into a new shirt when he appeared, and I saw the flicker of realization in his eyes. His gaze remained locked on the small, dark scar just below my shoulder.I quickly slipped on the shirt and turned to face him properly, “What’s the emergency?” I asked, making my way to my desk. I buttoned my shirt casually, leaving a few of the upper buttons undone.I watched as Luhna
