63: OLD HEN

Maxwell wrapped an arm around his sister's shoulder and walked her outside to the waiting area of the Boston airport. The summer breeze gifted them a warm welcome. Maxwell peered down to look at Glenda's face and, for the first time in a long while, she was wearing a genuine smile.

Maxwell was 45 years old, he lost his parents in a car crash when he was 10. Glenda being older by 16 years, took care of him like he was her own. Even after she wed and had children, she still treated him like a son instead of her brother. Glenda's son, Adam, is 33, married, and served in the US military while her daughter, April, is 28 and lives in Greece with her spouse.

It had been Glenda and him for the last 8 years since her husband died when she was 30. Now 61, she deserved a break from hardship and stress.
