A Question Of Loyalty

last update Last Updated: 2025-06-06 23:39:25

Ava's POV

The list my father gave me was as extensive as it could get.

There were names and pedigrees, as well as a map detailing their approximate locations. It was quite marvelous to see so much detail and effort put into a request I made.

Just a little over a month ago, I was too scared to make any requests as Ava, since every request would have helped me get bruised, battered, and even taunted more by Vera.

Asking my mom was even worse. She might not be as violent as Vera tends to be, but there was a madness to her eyes that scared me.

It was almost worse than Vera. In fact, I think it was worse than Vera. Vera could at least stand me, while my own mother could barely talk to me without getting mad and hateful.

The trend continued for most of my life, and eventually, I had nothing to look forward to until the mating ceremony.

Kael was my savior.

Until he wasn't.

Now, this was the first step to making sure he paid for his crime. This was my first step to making them all pay for th

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    War Has No Mercy

Dravin's POV The warmongers were quite hesitant to take me up on my offer, even if they seemed more than eager to start a war. "I don't think that is necessary, Alpha," Alfred said apologetically as he bowed. "I apologize for Balar's disrespect."I paused mid-stride and spun to glare at him, my silver eye glowing as my black eye darkened. "I wasn't asking, Alfred, and I do not appreciate repeating myself."Those words seemed to achieve their desired effect, as Alfred immediately stood up while the others followed suit. They reluctantly followed after me while Soren brought up the rear. We strolled in silence through the hallways, out of the mansion and into the woods. "Um, where are we going, Alpha?" Alfred asked. "If this is a scare tactic, then it isn't working, Alpha!" Balar yelled, and once again, I heard the irritated hiss from Alfred. The other three were silent throughout the walk. "What do you think wins you a war, Alfred?" I asked calmly. "Why would—""Answer the que

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    Be Careful What You Wish For

Dravin's POV Soren walked a step behind me as we strolled over to my conference room."Got an idea why my guests are visiting?" I asked as we walked.Soren shrugged."I do, but I think you do too."I nodded to that."Is Elora's father among them?"Soren shook his head."I doubt he'll go anywhere when his daughter is visiting. He is quite a doting father.""I would imagine," I replied. "Considering how spoiled she was."Soren chuckled but said nothing.About an hour ago, my guards spotted the arrival of an entourage of Alphas who came as one, arriving in a pretty lengthy convoy.I had a good mind to send them back for not informing me, but Soren convinced me against it.In his words, it was better that they were coming to see me for whatever reason they came, than doing it behind my back. That was true, so I condoned their lack of manners and had my guards usher them to the conference room where I had all of my meetings.I made sure to delay as well, ensuring that they understood that

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    A Talk About Flaws

Ava's POV It's been days since I arrived at the Stormclaw Pack, and I must admit, things have been a lot better than I had expected.A lot better than I've ever experienced.I would have never guessed that having a loving family—or a family, in fact—was so relieving. It was almost the best thing I have ever experienced. But I still came for a reason, and I intend to fulfil it."Are you scared?" my father asked as I stared at the scroll in his hand. "You asked for this. Are you scared of it now?"He was sitting on his throne in the throne room, and once again, we were both alone in the hall."I'm not scared," I insisted. "I'm just thinking.""What are you thinking about?" he asked calmly."Would they really listen to me?""Do you have time to care about that?" he asked. "If you want something, you take it. You're not just any Luna—you’re the Demon Queen. You should take the path of a demon.""Demons are powerful," I replied. "I don't have the power to be one.""Demons are powerful, bu

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    A Day In The Life Of Hannah

Hannah's POV I have never been happier. It’s been two days since we arrived at the Stormclaw Pack, and I already wish I never had to leave.Yesterday, I made friends with Alia, my first friend.I wished it was the Luna or at least Lyanna, but those two treated me like an outsider. The Luna is adjusting, but Lyanna is still being a tough nut to crack.Alia, on the other hand, was quite easy to get along with. She was starved for a friend just like me, and she quickly warmed up to me like we already knew each other before now.Even better, she was completely dismissive about the fact that I didn't have a werewolf, and even impressed with how well I could run, even without one.It was a blessing to have a friend like this. No one could understand how much I've wished to be close to people my own age.Alia was exactly that for me.We spent the whole of yesterday together, only leaving each other's side when we had an important task in different places.I thought Valia would object to our

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    A Warning In Ice

Dravin's POV The Pack seemed a lot better now that she was away. It was quiet, and I didn't have to look at her ugly mug every day. I had freedom in my home again. Yet, I somehow don't like it. It was just boring. Within the few months she has stayed, she had become an integral part of the Pack and my home. It just seemed different without her. "You aren't having a good day, are you?" Soren asked. "You've sighed for the umpteenth time today and barely gotten anything done.""I guess I'm just out of it today," I shrugged. "I believe you have eyes on Elora?" "Of course," he nodded. "I always do."Soren's intelligence network surprises me even until now, but I can't question the fact that he was efficient with it. "Why are you asking about her though?" he asked. I could already hear the amusement in his voice. "I thought you hated her.""She is not worth my hatred," I hissed. "I'm just keeping an eye on her because I don't trust her. She might be looking for an opportunity to ru
