Ava’s POV

“Mother, why do I have a scar on my face?”

“Yes, Mum, it’s so ugly,” my cute little girl said, scrunching her nose as she eyed her brother — who was already at the brink of tears.

“Don’t say that about your brother, Juliet,” I said gently, trying to ease the tension.

“I’m just saying the truth, Mother.”

Jude’s bottom lip trembled, and his small fists clenched by his sides.

“See, look what you’ve done,” I said sadly, pulling him into my arms, his small body stiff against mine.

“It’s bad enough that outsiders say cruel stuff about us, but family?” I swallowed hard. “We twist the dagger deeper.”

“You are to shield your brother from such talks, not anchor them, my dear,” I said, staring at her. “The scar could’ve been on your face, not his.”

Juliet looked away. I could sense the guilt rising in her, but her pride kept her silent.

Jude pushed away from my embrace, his eyes red and wet. “I hate you, Mother!” he yelled.

“I hate that you are my mother! I have this scar because of you

Lyra's POV “Bring me the one who let him in!”I was having breakfast with Salome watching me keenly, ensuring I ate all the food on the tray when I heard Asher's bellow.I raised my head to face Salome. “What's going on? I hear a shout.”It always scared me whenever I heard Asher's angry voice. I couldn't forget the day he had unleashed his anger at me and sentenced me to death. I wondered who was facing the wrath of his anger now.“You should focus on eating,” Salome insisted. “Do not concern yourself with other matters when the safety and health of your child should come first.”Salome constant care about my pup could only mean one thing: she had lost a pup during pregnancy. But I'm sure she didn't want to talk about it and a little peek from the window wouldn't stop my pup from growing.I dropped the tray and walked up to the window. Asher stood there, in the courtyard. He was glaring at someone I couldn't see yet. But what captured my attention was the guard that was kneeling bef

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    Caught The King's Interest

Ava's POVI didn’t wake up well the next morning. It was probably morning sickness from the pregnancy, I told myself. But I knew well why I woke up looking like someone who had been run over.Vera.The fact that she was here, in this pack made me cringe. I couldn’t dare think of going out for fear of bumping into her. Vera was bad luck. There was an aura she carrried with her that seemed to make me unfortunate. She had taken away my destined mate.Alpha Kael.Despite the fat that he ridiculed me, I couldn’t stop thinking about him - the five minutes we had before Irene took him away from me. I was sure everything would have gone well and I would have been his Luna, and certainly not pregnant for a wolf I cannot tell. But like I said. Wherever Vera was, I was bound to be miserable.I didn’t know if it was the thought that Alpha Kael was in my new pack, but I couldn’t stop thinking about him. Those sea blue eyes that did nothing but capture one’s attention. And those chestnut hair…Oh.

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    Ringing Twice

Lyra's POV “You heard that, didn't you?”Josie, who was already by the window, nodded. “I thought I didn't hear well the first time.”I sat up with a racing heart. “It's not the first knock?”“No. Third.”“Who could it be?”I was afraid that it could be Asher. Silas had said it himself. Asher had been here. My stomach churned with fear. If Asher finds me here, he would kill me. “I can't -” I stood up from the bed. “I can't let Asher find me. Coming here was a mistake.”Josie turned away from the window. Her face was as pale as a ghost. “I heard the door,” she said. “Silas has opened the door.”My eyes were scanning the room for anywhere to hide. Or a weapon. “We have to find out what is going on,” Josie said. Was she out of her mind?“No…no way! Do you want us to get killed? Coming here was a mistake.”I grabbed a pillow for defense. It was the only thing in the room that looked like a weapon. Josie moved to the door and strained her ear. “They're having a conversation,” she sa

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    The Mistress' Last Smile

Vince's POVI watched as her face was being bruised. Her beauty bleeding away, but she kept smiling — defiant and stupid."Are you still not going to talk?" Larry hissed, at the brink of losing his patience. She answered with a smile that didn't reach her eyes as she took in the pain.I stepped into the tent and pushed a strand of sweat-wet hair from her face. The demon Alpha sure had eyes for beautiful women."Aren't you the Alpha's mistress?" I asked, my voice flat, leaning close enough that she would feel the heat. I dragged a fingertip across her chin, forcing her face up."Why are you so loyal to him?""I may be his mistress," she spat, "but at least I'm not a monster like you!""Is that what you want to believe? That I am a monster?" I taunted."That's what you are," she hissed, spitting blood on my face."My wrench," Larry hissed, making to weep her, but I stopped the cane without looking back. She flinched, her face turning sideways already expecting the pain.I smeared the blo

  • COME BACK OF THE SCARFACE PRINCESS    Echoes Of Elora

Dravin's POV"That bastard," I seethed, storming out of the dungeon. "He had the guts to threaten me?""Don't let that get to you," Soren said, keeping pace beside me. "As for his superiors—if they are as powerful as he claims, then they had try to rescue him."I let out a low dark laugh. "I'd love to see them try.""Alpha you have a guest," a guard interrupted me as soon as we made it into the palace hall.My brows lifted. A guest? "I don't recall asking anyone to see me.""Who?" Soren asked."An Alpha—from the Western side."A slow smile crept into my face. "And why would an Alpha from the West come here of all places?"He was silent."Let him into the meeting room," I said."She requested audience," the guard said."A she-wolf?" I almost broke into a laugh. "Was it some sort of uprising? woman wanting power. Well that's good.""Let her in," I smiled. "I could use some entertainment at this time."Moments later, I watched as she entered into the Palace, her eyes darting round. "It is
