Chapter Six: You want to slap me?

Chapter 6…….

Jasmine sat In Front of the mirror with different thoughts running through her head. It had been a month since she got married and yet it felt like a year.

She remembered their wedding day and the chaos that happened, how Dominic couldn't get over the fact that she was married already

There was nothing he didn't call her, a prostitute, a cheat, a liar…all sorts of abusive names that didn't fit her nature, but there was nothing she could do because she made him think that way.

But then again, looking at things now, it is actually worth a try.

Even if she wasn't Damian's love, he still had a small spot for her and it was enough for jasmine.

She smiled and applied gloss on her lips before standing up but she was shocked to see two pierce eyes focused on her body.

"So, is this your everyday routine? God knows why you sit there for over one hour and still not gain weight." The husky voice of the almighty Damian stuck up in her head as she became shut of words.

She looked around and cleared her throat. "I will be up for work" She said, grabbing her bag as she strode to the door.

"Eat and don't wait until night for me." She heard from her back, but she didn't say a word as she bangs the door hard.

She wasn't bothered about that, it was his everyday routine and she wondered why he even told her all the time when she was already adapted to it.

He wouldn't come home at the right time but she would just see him in the morning, sleeping peacefully beside her.

Anyways, it isn't her business to know.

She walked over to the dining table and sipped a little out of the coffee before heading out into her car.

A stressful day ahead.

"Look who is up here" Laurette teased as Jasmine walked into the office with a different aura. "Who said getting married to a Billionaire is bad?" She winked at her, jasmine blushed and dropped her back on the office chair.

"This is your everyday routine, so why would I have this surprise on my face ? It gets tiring to marry someone who doesn't even give a damn about you. He doesn't even acknowledge me as his wife in public, so do you still see that as a life?" Jasmine asked and she kept mute.

The door opened and a pair of eyes peeped in. "But you look blooming everyday. Tell me the secret" The voice said, earning a glare from Jasmine.

"Should we even talk about this, When we have clients to attend to?" Jasmine asked, changing the topic.

"Before we attend to that one h*** of a hole, we should make a deal." Flora said walking into the office while their eyes were fixated on her.

"Oh please, we know what you're up to again. And now it is my turn to say……"

"No???? Jasmine, not again please. "She whined with squeezed eyeball. "We are earning and we should spend it on each other. Besides, why are you bent on keeping half of the money and sharing the remaining 50 percent? You have your big man."

"Gosh, must I hear this 10times a day?"

"Yes you will. We are going to our best restaurant after everything is over. Thank you" Laurette said and stood up without waiting for her reply, she opened the door and they followed.

"Why are you here Lydia?" Nicholas asked as soon as she took her seat In Front of him.

She made a puppy eyes and with the blink of an eye, tears from nowhere started pushing itself out. "Best Baby, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean it that way" she apologized with her hands plastered tight on Nic's hand.

Nicholas turned to the other side of the office and slowly smiled. "I told you never to bring up Dorothy's death, but you always have to provoke me and I hate it." He clarified. Lydia cried the most and Nicholas couldn't take it anymore. He stood up and walked over to her seat with his hand on her cheek.

"Settled" He winked at her and the two laughter filled the room.

"You should take me out on a treat, baby. It's been a long time since we had a treat together and it saddens my heart. Or perhaps you're enjoying your marriage this time around?" She asked, earning a little chuckle from him.

"Oh Dia, I can't get enough of you with these words. It's okay, let's get this over with and settle down with a good restaurant." He mentioned it and she beamed with joy.

"Thanks to my man"

Nicholas raised an eyebrow up and she smiled sheepishly. "Aren't you my man?"

He didn't answer her but instead he held her hand as they left the office.

"Domain said she's coming to your house today, did she inform you?" She asked and he turned towards her with a surprising look.

"Domain? My house? She didn't even tell me" He gave a hard look before turning on the engine.

Jasmine Taylor stepped out of her car with an exhausted look, she opened the door and was surprised it still opened.

Didn't he move to work today?

She strode inside and made way to the stairs but was suddenly stopped with the sounds coming out of their kitchen.

"Today was Friday, and a free day for the maids so who could be in there?" She asked with her heels clicking on the tiles, she strode to the kitchen and almost yelled to death.

"Ahh" She sighed tirelessly. "Who are you please?" She asked and with the turn the person made, she got scared.

"And who are you to question why I'm here?" That sticking arrogant tone took her off guard.

She sighed and faked a smile. "If I don't leave here then maybe I wouldn't have gotten into this house"

The little lady laughed. "Oh you leave here? The new slut he brought in?" She mocked and Jasmine raised up her hands in anger.

"You want to slap meeeeee??????"
