Chapter five: D-day

"You may now kiss the bride" Those words alone were enough to spike the hatred she had for him. She disgustedly dulge her lips from him and he ended up kissing her cheeks.

He made a displeased look and angrily glared at her.

Since the beginning of this wedding thing, She couldn't call this a definition of a beautiful wedding because all of this sucks. Perhaps because she wasn’t in love with him and was forced to get married to him, maybe that was why she felt so agitated and couldn’t enjoy the presence of the wedding.

After the priest's speech again, everything ended and She took her way out of the not too crowded hall to the corner of the church.

She made her way into the restroom In Front of her, as she entered another leg walked in and she got frightened immediately turning her back.

"God" she sighed when she saw who it was. " Why are you sneaking up on me?" She yelled agitatedly and he snickered.

"Oh, I'm sneaking up on you? Listen and listen good jasmine or whatever you call your name. I'm not also good with this rubbish of a wedding and I have my own life to live but again I have to play dumb like I'm good. You're not the only one that is disgusted because your sight alone embrasses me. This is all fake and I trust you should understand better than all of this. You can't be a disgrace to me In Front of my family and friends. Get yourself together or I would gladly do that for you. I'm not your fan and I don't give a damn about you." He rudely noted to her and walked out of the room with a loud thud jerking her up.

She looked at the door in great shock and gasped, holding her chest in pain.

At that moment, she knew she had gotten herself into one big mess that wouldn't be easy to leave.

She saw everything, it was only two members of his family that attended and his grandpa and it goes the same to hers but still she knew it was a contracted marriage. Wouldn't she be trapped in hell? Can't she just die and forget this life?

She inhaled deeply and walked outside the room. She strode to the main entrance and caught Nicholas pointing hands to her father with a touch of threat.

She saw her Father making a sad plea as he left angrily without hearing him out.

What could be happening to the family? Sure she knew her parents were keeping something from her.

She glared up again and saw her Father's fierce eyes staring at her. He angrily marched towards her dragging her hand along with him.

He pushed her once they were in a more quiet and safe place. "Can you save me all this stress? Must you question my authority and make me a laughing stock in front of my friends?" He questioned with an irritated look and she opened her mouth to say something but was shut with a good slap.

"Ahhh" she whined, her hands on her cheeks. "Father"

"Don't you dare, call me that. You're a disgrace to me and the family. Why can't you just act as you're told? Why must you always be a problem?"

Those words were like an arrow piercing into her heart as tears started to pour down freely like a tap.

Was she really a problem to the family?

"You're married to that man outside there and you would be in that marriage till he's done."

"But father.." She made a way to protest but he just walked away leaving her downcasted.

After he left, she slowly sat down on the floor, her white simple but expensive wedding dress covering her knees.

She bent her head and started sobbing profusely.

"Why? Why must it be me?"

"Jasmine, Jasmin, jasmine" She heard her friend's voice calling and she immediately cleaned her teary eyes.

"I'm here" She said and their footsteps increased to her sitting posture.

"Jasmine?" Laurette called in surprise as she saw her on the ground.

"What are you doing, sitting on the floor?" Flora questioned and she sighed tirelessly.

Flora moved closer and gasped. "Have you been crying your eyes out?"

"No…no no" She denied with a fake smile and they nodded their heads in disagreement.

"No, we can't believe that lies from you. Take a look at your face looking big and puffy like you just cried. Why were you crying?" Laurette asked and she shook her head in disagreement.

"I wasn't crying, can't you believe me?"

They both gasped in disbelief. "We can't believe you, the only thing we can't believe is you telling lies to our face when we can clearly see things. Look Jasmine, this is your happy day and not your happy day again. It's your happy day because you did this to honor your parents and again you don't want this because it is a loveless marriage and we can see it through your eyes but we can't do a single shit about it. We, your friends, feel the pain you're holding in and we are here for you. Please don't tear up like this. " She consoled and she shook her head in pain.

Flora held her shoulder consoling her. "She had said the right thing and we honestly put ourselves in your shoes b…."

"But it couldn't fit in. You wouldn't be in my shoes ever. Because your parents understand you the best. Laurette can bring in as many of them and you also can get high whenever you like but….

"I don't know if you feel the pain but this is hard for me…"

"Jasmine Taylor?" A soft manly voice said from behind them and they both turned their face to the voice but Jasmine was the one with the shocker face this time.

She gasped in fear and anxiety as she stood up with her now dried ruined makeup face.

"Dominic?"
