I stood in front of unit 2503, still clutching the access card tightly. Liam’s Beta, who had escorted me here, only bowed respectfully before leaving after making sure I’d arrived. With my heart pounding, I swiped the card. The indicator light turned green, and the door opened slowly.

The apartment was enormous, far bigger than my boarding room. Polished marble floors gleamed under the lights, a massive glass window revealed the city skyline at night, and modern furniture filled the space. I swallowed hard, feeling far too small in a place like this.

“Come in,” that deep voice called from inside.

I flinched, then stepped in hesitantly—just as the bathroom door opened.

Liam emerged.

He was wearing nothing but a white towel wrapped around his waist, his body still damp, beads of water sliding down his broad chest. His muscles were firm, scars marking his skin—making him look both intimidating and, somehow, mesmerizing.

I quickly lowered my gaze.

Oh God, what am I supposed to do now?
