FORTY FOUR

Edna was breathless. In the pouring rain that was pouring down Las Vegas, she had to run fast, entering Acelon's magnificent mansion to meet the man. She had no other choice but to do so, then made a long confession to the man if she had been lying to him all this time.

"Miss Edna?"

A middle-aged security officer looked directly at Edna in surprise when he saw that woman looked gasping in front of the main door with a body soaked from head to toe.

A few minutes ago he saw a taxi stop in front of his master's mansion, but he did not think that the taxi passenger was Edna, his young lady.

"Is Acelon there?" asked Edna trying to normalize the roar of her breath. It was a combination of the roar of breath from worrying about Elyseen's condition, and the roar of exhausted breath from having to run through the rain from the gate to the main door of Acelon's mansion.
