Sienna’s POV

I bolted upright in bed, heart slamming against my ribs. The clock on the nightstand glowed 3:07 AM. A shadow still stretched across the floor under my door.

He hadn’t left.

I grabbed my robe, tied it tight, and marched over.

When I yanked the door open, Nova stood there exactly like I’d pictured in my restless thoughts — shirtless, sweatpants riding low, chest rising and falling like he’d run a mile.

His green eyes burned in the dim hallway light.

“What the hell are you doing?” I hissed.

Nova didn’t smile. Not at first. He just stared at me, jaw tight, like he was fighting some war inside his own head.

“Couldn’t sleep, Detective. Every time I closed my eyes, I kept hearing that little moan you made when I kissed you.”

Heat flooded my face. “Go back to your room, Kane. Now.”

He stepped forward before I could close the door.

His hand shot out, palm flat against the wood, stopping it easily. “Make me.”

I pushed harder, but he was solid muscle and pure stubbornness. In one smooth motion, he slipped inside my bedroom and shut the door behind him with a soft click.

The room suddenly felt too small. Too hot. Just him, me, and the king-sized bed I’d been tossing and turning in.

“Get out,” I ordered, backing up.

Nova followed, slow and deliberate, until the back of my legs hit the mattress.

He stopped inches away — close enough that I could feel the heat rolling off his skin, but he didn’t touch me.

Not yet.

“You moaned, Sienna,” he said, voice low and raspy. “Right into my mouth. Soft and needy, like you’d been dying for it. Don’t lie to me. Don’t lie to yourself.”

“I was angry,” I shot back. “It was a mistake.”

“A mistake that’s got me rock hard at three in the morning.” His eyes dropped to my lips, then lower, tracing the edge of my robe.

“I stood outside that door for an hour imagining all the ways I could break you open. Wondering how wet you got when you pushed me away. How tight you’d feel around my fingers. My tongue. My cock.”

My breath hitched. I hated how my body reacted to every filthy word. “You’re crossing the line. This is my room. My space.”

“Yeah?” He leaned in slightly, breath brushing my ear without making contact.

“Then why aren’t you screaming for me to leave? Why’s your pulse jumping in your throat like that?”

I swallowed hard. “Because I’m trying to do my job. Because you’re a reckless asshole who’ll ruin my career if I let you.”

Nova’s eyes darkened. “You think I don’t know what this is? I’ve had women throw themselves at me for years. But you… fuck, Sienna. One kiss and I lost control like some horny teenager. No one’s ever done that to me before. Not once.”

The raw honesty in his voice caught me off guard. For a split second, the cocky rockstar disappeared and I saw something real — exhaustion, frustration, genuine confusion.

“You’re dangerous,” I whispered.

“I know.” His voice dropped even lower. “But so are you. Standing here in that tiny robe, nipples hard, fighting how bad you want me to bend you over this bed and fuck the attitude right out of you. I’d start slow, tease that pretty pussy until you’re begging. Then I’d give it to you deep and rough, just like you need.”

“Stop,” I breathed, but my voice cracked.

He smirked, still not touching me. “Tell me to leave again and I will. But we both know you don’t really want that.”

I opened my mouth, but no words came. The air between us crackled. My thighs pressed together on instinct, trying to ease the growing ache.

Then my phone rang on the nightstand.

The shrill sound sliced through the tension. Captain Reyes’ name flashed on the screen.

“Shit,” I muttered, lunging for it. Nova didn’t move. I answered on the second ring, trying to sound normal. “Captain. It’s late — is everything okay?”

Reyes’ voice came through clear. “Just doing a surprise welfare check. How’s our rockstar behaving? Any problems I should know about?”

Nova’s eyes gleamed with wicked amusement. Before I could stop him, he dropped smoothly to his knees right in front of me.

His large hands settled on my bare thighs, thumbs stroking slow circles just under the hem of my robe.

My breath caught. I tried to step back, but the bed blocked me.

“Everything’s… fine,” I said, voice strained. “He’s been… manageable.”

Nova looked up at me, green eyes full of challenge.

He pressed a soft, open-mouthed kiss to the inside of my thigh, then whispered against my skin, “I’ll be quiet, Detective… if you can.”

His hands slid higher, pushing my robe apart. Hot breath teased closer to where I was already throbbing.

Reyes kept talking. “Good. Stay sharp, Vale. This case could get messy. Call me if he gives you any trouble.”

Nova’s tongue traced a slow line up my other thigh. I bit my lip hard to keep from gasping.

“Yes, sir,” I forced out. “I’ve got it under control.”

But as Nova’s fingers gripped my thighs tighter and his mouth hovered dangerously close, I knew one thing for certain.

I had nothing under control.

  • CUFFED TO THE ROCKSTAR   Chapter 13: Silent War

Sienna’s POV I woke up with a heavy weight in my chest and zero intention of letting Nova see it. The morning light felt too bright, too normal for the mess I was in. I dressed in my most professional clothes — crisp button-up and slacks — and walked into the kitchen like I was reporting for duty. Nova was already there, shirtless as usual, sliding a plate of eggs and toast across the island the second I entered. “Made your favorite,” he said, voice careful. “Extra butter on the toast. Coffee with caramel.” I didn’t even glance at the plate. “New rules. From now on, we communicate only when necessary. No personal conversations. No gifts. No music. I check in with my captain twice a day. You stay in my line of sight but we keep our distance.” He stared at me. “Sienna…” “Detective Vale,” I corrected coldly, pouring my own coffee. “That’s how this should’ve stayed from the beginning.” Nova’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t push. Not yet. Throughout the morning, he tried. He left

  • CUFFED TO THE ROCKSTAR   Chapter 12: Shattered Trust

Sienna’s POV I didn’t even knock. I shoved the studio door open so hard it slammed against the wall. Nova looked up from his guitar, surprised for half a second before that guarded mask slipped over his face. “You have one week to get the files from the detective… or we come for both of you.” I repeated the words I’d overheard at the gate, my voice shaking with rage. “Who the hell was that man, Nova? And what files are they talking about?” He set the guitar down slowly. “Sienna—” “Don’t you dare ‘Sienna’ me right now.” I stepped closer, fists clenched at my sides. “I trusted you enough to let you inside my body. I listened to your sad stories about your old band. And the whole time you’ve been using me? Tell me the truth. All of it. Right now.” Nova stood up, running a hand through his messy hair. “It’s not what you think.” “Not what I think?” I laughed bitterly. “I heard him threaten both of us. You met him in secret in the middle of the night. How stupid do you think I am?” H

  • CUFFED TO THE ROCKSTAR   Chapter 11: Tangled Lies

Sienna’s POV My hands wouldn’t stop shaking as I stormed through the mansion the morning after Captain Reyes’ call. Photos. Someone had leaked photos of me and Nova in the pool — my back against the wall, his hand clearly between my legs. Internal Affairs was now “looking into it.” My career was hanging by a thread. I found Nova in the living room and didn’t give him a chance to speak first. “Stay the hell away from me,” I snapped. “I need space. Real space. No more touching, no more games, no more of whatever this toxic shit is between us.” Nova’s green eyes narrowed. He set his coffee down slowly. “You think you can just switch it off after I was buried inside you? After you screamed my name like you couldn’t get enough?” “That was a mistake,” I said, backing up as he stepped closer. “Everything since I walked into this house has been one giant mistake. I’m requesting a replacement supervisor today.” He moved fast, grabbing my arm and pulling me toward his recording studi

  • CUFFED TO THE ROCKSTAR   Chapter 10: Breaking Her Walls

Sienna’s POV I stormed out of my room the next morning with Nova’s phone clutched in my hand like a weapon. My body still ached from yesterday, but the anger burned hotter than any leftover pleasure. “You son of a bitch,” I snapped, slamming the phone down on the kitchen island. “Explain these messages. Right now.” Nova froze with a coffee mug halfway to his lips. His green eyes narrowed. “You went through my shit?” “Don’t you dare turn this on me!” My voice rose. “ ‘Seduce her, get the evidence, or she dies too’? What the hell is that supposed to mean, Nova? Were you using me this whole time? Playing the damaged rockstar so I’d let my guard down?” He set the mug down hard. “It’s not what you think.” “Then tell me what it is!” I shouted, stepping closer. “Because right now it looks like I’m just another job to you. Another pussy to fuck while you handle your dirty business.” Nova’s face twisted with anger. He grabbed my arms, not hard enough to hurt but firm enough to hold m

  • CUFFED TO THE ROCKSTAR   Chapter 9: Dangerous Secrets

Sienna’s POV The kitchen still smelled like sex and pancakes when I finally found my voice again. Nova stood there, phone in hand, his face completely shut down. That dark, cold look I’d never seen before sent ice down my spine. “What did the message say?” I demanded, sliding off the counter and fixing my shorts. “Nothing important.” He shrugged, too casual, and set the phone face-down. “Just label bullshit. You know how they are.” “Bullshit.” I stepped closer, heart still racing from the orgasm he’d given me. “I saw your face, Nova. You looked ready to kill someone. Tell me the truth.” He reached for me, pulling me against his bare chest. His hands slid down my back, gripping my ass possessively. “Why talk when I can do this instead?” His mouth claimed mine before I could argue. The kiss was deep and distracting, his tongue stroking mine in a way that made my knees weak. I pushed at his chest, but he only held me tighter, grinding his hard cock against my stomach through his

  • CUFFED TO THE ROCKSTAR   Chapter 8: Addicted

Nova’s POV I woke up with the taste of her still on my tongue and my cock hard enough to cut glass. Last night in the pool kept replaying in my head — Sienna falling apart on my fingers, that sweet moan when she came, then the sharp sting of her slap. Fuck, I wanted more. I wanted everything. She’d been avoiding me all morning. Hiding in her room like a scared little rabbit. Not today. I stood in the kitchen wearing only gray sweatpants, low on my hips, and started making breakfast. Pancakes, bacon, fresh coffee. The works. Let her try to ignore this. The smell finally dragged her out. Sienna walked in wearing a loose t-shirt and shorts, hair still messy from sleep. Her eyes flicked over my bare chest and quickly looked away. “Morning, Detective,” I said, flipping a pancake. “You ran away pretty fast last night.” She grabbed a mug and poured coffee without looking at me. “I’m not doing this, Nova. Last night was a mistake. It won’t happen again.” I turned off the stove and st
