“What?” Callan growled, not believing what he just heard. “Don't fucking play with me, Elena. I'm not cut up for this.” He snapped angrily. How could she joke about something like that?

Elena tried not to flinch at his harsh glare. She didn't fail to notice how Xavier narrowed his eyes at Callan. She shook her head. “I'm serious. She's really awake. You can come see for yourself.”

Cameron and Callan's eyes widened as their heart thumped with relief and another emotion they couldn't decipher. After what they had found out about Claire, they didn't know how to react in front of her. Were they supposed to pretend as if they didn't know her secret? Or confront her about it?

“Instead of standing here and doing nothing, I think we should go and see her.” Daxton said sarcastically.

Knowing he was right, they didn't argue as they ran towards their house. They barged into the room and Callan and Cameron felt a surge of relief as they saw that their mate was finally awake.
