First Date?

Claire woke up to a set of electric blue eyes staring down at her intently. She felt a hot deep blush crawl up her cheek as she wondered how long he had been staring at her.

She adjusted herself properly, seeing as her robe had slid up her thighs overnight. She turned to face him. “Good morning.” But his face was unreadable.

Her brows creased in confusion. “What? What's wrong?”

“You know exactly what is wrong, Claire. I just decided to let it go without causing a scene last night. You think I wouldn't know you snuck out of here last night to the gods knows where?”

Claire's mouth dropped open before she could stop it. He... He knew? She quickly tried to mask off her shocked expression and replaced it with a fake confused look. “What are you talking about?”

Damien shook his head at her blatant lies. “Don't play dumb with me, Claire. We both know you're never going to win. What were you doing out so late at night?” He repeated the question once again, looking at her sternly and daring h
