The handsome man, Noah

In the library, Isabella leaned against the bookshelf while her hand was gripping a rack behind her. She couldn't forget Jenny's crying. She looked pitiful.

Isabella realized that Jenny's spirit was broken. The way she begged was the last door she could express her love, but in the end, she gave her life to revive her soul.

"Rest in peace, Jenny. Now God will be with you. Goodbye!" prayed Isabella. She had one thing in her heart; that she would never fall in love with someone like Alexander. A girl should be alone forever, but never give her heart to someone like Alexander.

"Hi! Bella," a handsome man carrying a charming smile approached Isabella.

"Hi, Noah. How are you? I heard you went to London," asked Isabella and gave him a friendly smile. They've known each other from day one, but what set them apart was their status. A month later, not caring about these things, Noah came and befriended Isabella's group.

"Yeah, family business. Fathers had some work with me," Noah replied, shrugging his shoulder. His gentle face was like a brightening sun that could warm anyone's heart. Isabella always found him different from any other man she saw or knew. But this didn't mean she has any special feelings for him.

"Have you heard the news about Jenny?" Noah asked because he was also aware of the fact that Isabella liked Jenny and her acting. And every time Jenny's movie was released, he used to make excuses to take Isabella on a movie date.

She did go, but Bethany and Danny were with her. Because of this, he had to invite his friends too. And a movie date had turned into a friend's congregation.

"Yes, I heard," Isabella responded with a nod. Just then, her eyes fell on a ring on Noah's middle finger. It had a wing middle of it and the size was also pretty big.

"Your ring. It's pretty," Isabella praised. Her eyes lingered for a few seconds there and they raised with Noah's answer, "You like it? Ah! I think it's ugly. My mother forced me to wear this, as our whole family wears, such an unreasonable excuse."

"No, it looks good on your finger. By the way, when will you give me my book? The Notebook," Isabella asked while her lips cracked into a sheepish smile, clearly showing her embarrassment. She asked for a book back like a child who asked for their comics back if their friend took them.

Noah took two steps forward toward Isabella, and the distance between them narrowed. Their postures are so cozy, if anyone sees them, they would think they are a couple and will do something at this moment.

"I am curious," Noah said and paused while Isabella asked, "What?" her hands pushed some hairs on her cheeks and tugged them behind her ear, as they itched her cheeks. However, Noah's stunt shook her a bit as he unexpectedly hold her hand that was near her ear.

"You love romance books, but never fall in love with anyone. Why?" he murmured when his hand rested on Isabella's ear, causing her head to tilt to that side. Suddenly, two purple eyes were looking at them from the empty part of the rack. Although there was no wave of anger in them, a creepy smile appeared on that devilish face.

Noah and Isabella were completely ignorant of the fact that their everything has been witnessed by someone who lets them enjoy the moment so that he can also enjoy the consequences later, which will soon be imparted to them.

Noah brought back his hand with the cobweb as she leaned on the rack.

"Dust," said Noah, then he rested the same hand on the rack next to Isabella's head.

"Thanks. Now your hand will follow my head," Isabella commented and chuckled.

"Oops!" Noah dusted his hand as his hand became dirty with the dust of the rack, but Isabella's next comment paused him from swabbing,

"Noah, you look very different," Elsa said while her eyes intently stared at Noah. Not only his face, but his aura also changed. Behind those eyes lies a mystery hiding as Isabella felt. It was just his bright face that hid them well.

"Really! How, Milady? Can you please enlighten me?" Noah joked, completely distracting Isabella from the haze she was trying to discard.

"Nothing. Let's go." Isabella laughed and said while she pulled out a book from the rack for which she had come to the library.

"Milady, you are ignoring me," Noah teased and followed Isabella outside.

"Stop calling me this. Also, we are in the library. Your voice might irritate someone," Isabella's pace hastened, and she softly said, as there were so many students studying. Even their steps sounded boisterous because there was a deep cessation in the Library.

"Listen, this evening there will be a bonfire near our college campus. Will you come?" Noah asked. At his behest, Isabella stopped and turned to him.

"Dude, don't stop like this. I almost hit you. You could fall on your face, and your pretty face could bruise," Noah warned, as he knows how he braked his feet.

"I can't come. You know me well. Furthermore, I need rest." Isabella answered back. Her eyes caught the sight of Danny and Bethany behind Noah. They seemed tensed and sweaty. Their footsteps were almost like running.

"Your traditional excuse. If you want your book back, you'll come to the bonfire, okay. We won't hold you for long, just for an hour," Noah bargained to persuade her to come to the bonfire and, without waiting for Isabella's answer, he left.

"Noah, Noah," Isabella screamed, looking at Noah, who didn't even bother to turn his face. Isabella was in no mood to go anywhere, but she would have to go for her book.

"Stop calling Noah. You should call Jesus and pray, only he can save you now," Bethany huffed as soon as she finished.

"Yes, damn girl, you should not make a stunt in front of the devil," Danny said and dragged her to an empty spot. Bethany followed them.

"What stunt? and what devil?" Isabella asked, raising her brows. Their words were always illogical and they won't clarify anything at once until she asked.

"Our new devil president. He asked about your presence in his chamber which our principal informed us, to find you and take you to the president, and what for, you know," Danny grumbled at Isabella.

"Why?" Isabella asked, looking at the two of them, while Bethany was texting someone. As soon as the answer came, she hurriedly discussed, "Hey! Antonio said that the atmosphere in front of the President's chamber is normal and our principal is patrolling back and forth. Haha! At the same time, he chewed all his nails in tension.

"Stop laughing, Bethany. we must do something. I think I should call my father and ask him to speak to our previous president. I think this will help us a lot," Danny suggested and pulled out her phone from her jeans pocket.

But Isabella did not let her call her father.

"Can you both explain why the President wants my presence? Second, stop getting your father involved in a petty affair.

"Your canteen act. We understand why you were agitated, but you need to look at your surroundings, Bella," said Danny. She also got angry on hearing that order, which was astonishing. The college management is only concerned about the money. Money wins once again. Their favorite Rachel's canteen is going to be closed forever.

"Oh, for that reason," Isabella mumbled unconsciously. She wondered how her act went unnoticed, especially when it was done in front of a devil. How can he let go of an innocent without punishing?

"How can you be so comfortable? At first, I thought the college authorities ignored your action because they left without asking your name, but we're wrong." Bethany sighed. She's terrified. What if they cancel her scholarship?

"Nothing will happen. It was not a big crime, maybe he should give me a mild punishment. Let's go," Isabella started walking. Her motto, when she can't escape, she will bravely face the situation. At least it's far less punitive than what he did.

As they reached in front of the President's office, the Principal approached them. His face was red as if he was still holding his breath, waiting for their arrival. This further frightened Bethany and Jenny.

"Where have you been for so long?" The principal asked Isabella, wiping his sweat, and Bethany grabbed onto Isabella's shoulder.

Isabella assured her friends with her eyes and turned back to answer the principal, "Sorry sir, I was in the restroom. I'm going in."

"Yes, go ahead," said the principal hastily as Isabella took another second, he will push her without a doubt.

Isabella slid the glass door and entered. It was a dark grey room and every piece of furniture was dark, too. But a scent scratched her nostrils; it was a unique billowy smell that urged her to breathe more.

But suddenly she remembered the reason for her coming. But her eyes didn't see the person, only his coat was on the table but the person was missing.

She took a few steps forward toward the table when a chilling voice heard behind her and her heart almost leaped out of its place.

"You can try to push this table too because you are a superwoman."

Isabella blew out the fear and she stroked her chest. She could hear her beating heart. It was drumming madly.

"When did you enter? I didn't hear the door slamming." Isabella asked the first thing that came to her mind.

"I was in the room. It's your fault you didn't notice," Alexander replied, slipping his hand into his pockets, while he stood with his leg crossed and leaned against the wall.
