Although Alexander had additional plans for Bella, her constant worry for her father put an end to everything. He grudgingly complied with her request. Additionally, he would learn what precipitated Bella's abrupt transformation.

Alexander wanted to enter Bella's home when they arrived there, but Bella refused, saying that her father would not appreciate it if he found out she had been living with him.

Alexander's veins on his forehead went stiff when he realized Bella was being bothered by a dreadful thing that placed her on alert as well as compelled her to cover her mouth. He was helpless to act.

He sat in his car for a while, his hands tightly gripping the wheel. Alexander closed his eyes in an attempt to spy on Bella, in particular, to know why she made an excuse to push him away.
