I didn’t know I was in that position until Mateo coughed bringing us out of our thoughts .

“ sorry to bother you , but I will be out waiting till you are less busy to come out “

That was what he wanted , he had that hint of mockery in his voice when he said that .

What came over me , I couldn’t explain it .

I pulled away from her and all that I could see was her flustered cheeks how red they were .

It seems like my words didn’t do anything to her , but instead it got her more aroused .

“I will be in my room uncle “ she told me, pulling away as she walked to her room .

The moment she got in , I let out a deep breath as I took a walk towards the living room .

Just as I had predicted , he was sitting there with a glass of wine and his legs crossed as he acted like he was watching the tv , we both know that he wasn’t .

“Mateo “ I called before he could beat me to the words .

That doesn’t look like you were talking to your niece if you meant that you were just speaking with her .

When my phone rang , I picked it up and the caller wasn’t who I expected considering that I was just talking about him .

“Vinc “ he called from the other end .

His voice didn’t sound like it used to and it sounded like he was struggling .

I knew that my brother didn’t get into any goddamn accident , this was just their plan to lure me out and they succeeded .

“How are you brother ?” I asked him as I turned wine into the mugshot that was just on the table while I sat down .

“ We both know that I might not survive this , there is no need to worry about it , but I’m putting up a good fight, don't you think?

“You are not fighting , I promise you and those bastard , they will pay with their lives , this I promise .

“ I know they will, I know what you can do and how capable you are and that is the reason why I kept my daughter in your care .

I know that our world is so dark and filled with so much stuff. The only reason why I have kept this life away from her is because I don’t want her getting into this .

I know I might not live any longer , but I want you to promise me that you are going to protect her with everything that you have .

My wife might not survive this as well , I already told her what to do if I died , but you brother , I put my child in your care .

I love that you can protect her soundly without letting any harm come to her .

Just do you brother and thank you for this , you don’t have to be sympathetic about my sin , it seems like being a priest for the past five years made you soft even though it wasn’t real .

The call ended and when it did , I breathed out again, dropping the cup as I turned to my left .

My brother was dying , I knew that and I really needed to know who it was .

I stood up , it was a stressful day and all that I just wanted was nothing but to have a good night's rest .

As I took to the stairs , I noticed someone standing there .

Holy fuck .

Nora was standing naked , she had just a pant on with nothing .

Fuck .

She looked so hot , hotter than I could ever have imagined and with her legs crossed , I felt a part of me getting excited .
