Chapter 161
Narrator’s POV—
Emily noticed how Adrian limped to the stairs. His clothes looked messy and dusty. She was worried but Adrian didn’t reply to her when she wanted to know what happened! Sebastian called earlier and he was supposed to reach in the afternoon and hence Emily decided to finish cooking lunch and then would go to her apartment to change and also receive Sebastian. She was almost done cooking because Adrian left angrily and returned one and a half hour.
Should she go after him and check on him? She stood biting her lips unable to decide.
‘No! If he doesn’t want to tell me, why should I be so bothered? I shouldn’t get too attached.’ – Emily thought and decided to turn off the oven and leave. It was already 12 in the noon and Sebastian should be reaching anytime soon!
