Orian’s pov

I looked at the clock and then the table, my eyes resting on the chess board and back to the door. He loved playing games which meant I had to rack my brain to find whatever it is I am looking for. The worse part is I have no idea what I am trying to find. No idea what it looked or felt like. I just needed to find something and have him recount the tale of how everything happened almost fifteen years ago.

The clock chimed and I looked back at it and then at the chessboard. Think Orian, Think! I had to use my skills from back in the days when pre-teen me stole food and broke into stores to survive.

Clock, chess, door. I recited them in my head,

"Chess, he loves playing games, clock? Clock? Maybe a secret passage behind the clock? Too easy, door? It's an entrance!" I looked at the clock and it chimed, as it chimed moonlight flittered through the curtains landing on the table. Maybe lifting the chess game will reveal something? Too easy as well because if you wanted to hide
