Dante's POV

The moment Kerry had taken Lily from the room I drank two more glasses of wine. I wouldn't lie and say Lily wasn't a looker. She was. Up close, she was something to look at. Definitely not cute like Kerry said. Perfect for the job she was going into. She'd attract those men like bees and they'd flock to her and she'd be out of my hair soon enough.

“Should you be drinking so much this early in the morning sir?” Alessandro asked. He'd stood and watched the whole scene play out in here for the past few minutes. So silent that I had forgotten he was in the room.

“I think I can handle it, Alessandro.”

“I'm less worried about the alcohol and more about your state of mind.”

“My state of mind has never been better Alessandro. No need to worry about me. You, on the other hand, need to take some vacation days.”

“I'm quite healthy sir.” He pressed.

I exhaled. A knock came at the door and in walked Bella and Matteo.

“Good morning Boss,” Matteo greeted.
