Timely intervention

Noya's POV

I cracked my knuckles as I took slow strides toward Sherry's room to begin the day's duty. It had been two good weeks but I still had no idea as to when she'd leave but since I was already used to it, I kept quiet.

Niklaus also had a lot to deal with. If Sherry's attitude was all I had to put up with to relieve his burden then I would gladly do so. I pushed the door back and walked into the room to find her clothes all scattered across the room.

Two can play the game.

Humming a song, I closed the door and began folding the clothes. When I was done, I took them to the wardrobe to arrange them and get myself busy with something productive. Maybe reading a book.

The thought excited me. The door burst open revealing Sherry who traipsed in with her usual hard countenance.

"Good morning, Sherry." I flashed a smile at her.

"Why are you folding those when they are dirty?" She hissed.

I shifted my gaze to the clothes in my hands to inspect them.

"I washed these clothes yesterday."
