A subtle vibration stirred in Grayson’s palm, dragging him from the depths of his thoughts.

He glanced at the screen. Steven. Again.

He promptly accepted the call and brought the phone to his ear, his voice low and composed. “Yes?”

“Sir,” Steven spoke with his usual calm, respectful tone. “I just gathered some information... One of the servants at the old estate reported seeing Ms. Natalie last night. She was there. Briefly.”

Grayson’s back straightened slightly. His expression remained unchanged, but a shift had occurred—an internal tightening, like a wire pulled taut.

“She encountered Hunter in the hallway,” Steven continued. “The staff didn’t hear everything, but... it’s very likely he’s the one who told her about you in Sunnydale.”

For a beat, silence hung in the air. Then, a single word slipped from his mouth—cold and clipped.

“I see.”

Steven paused, then added carefully, “Should I handle it, sir?”

Grayson didn’t answer immediately. His gaze shifted to the figure lying on the bed

With one final breath, Grayson stood from his chair to greet his fiancée, his expression firm and impassive, devoid of the slightest warmth or emotion.Natalie crossed the room with curated grace and wrapped her arms around him without waiting for permission. Her body pressed into his, warm and gentle. But Grayson didn’t move. His hands remained at his sides.“I’ve missed you so much,” Natalie said softly.“I was busy,” he replied flatly, his voice emotionless. “My apologies.”Natalie slowly pulled back, though her arms lingered around his waist.“I understand,” she murmured, lifting her eyes to meet his. “But... you could’ve told me. Do you know how worried I was when I couldn’t reach you? I went to the villa, to the old house—”“You shouldn’t have,” he cut her off briefly, stepping back from her hold. For a fraction of a second, Natalie’s smile faltered, but she quickly masked it with a soft pout.“I just needed to see you,” she whispered. “It’s your birthday. We’ve always celebrate

Natalie’s heels clicked sharply against the hard floors of the Moore estate as she made her way down the hallway, her jaw clenched tight from the old patriarch’s words, which were still ringing in her ears.Just as she neared the grand entrance, the heavy doors opened—and Hunter walked in.Dressed in a sleek black long coat and carrying the scent of cold night air mixed with something sharper, darker, Hunter exuded the same refined demeanor as he always did. But tonight, there was something unusually sharp in his eyes.“Natalie,” he greeted with a cool, effortless smile, his voice smooth and urbane. “What a surprise to see you here.”She paused and turned slightly toward him, her tone even but tight. “Hunter. It’s been a while.”He nodded before moving closer, his hands tucked in his coat pockets. “Didn’t expect you to be out this late, especially alone. What brings you here? Late-night tea with the folks?”Natalie raised her chin slightly. “I came to ask about Grayson.”“Ah…” A low c

Natalie paced all over her bedroom with anxiousness. The clock on the wall struck eight, but the silence in her penthouse was deafening. It was Grayson’s birthday. But he was gone—and nowhere to be found. He hadn’t left a single call. Not even a message. She had driven to his private villa earlier in the day, only to be met by Louis, the ever-loyal butler, who informed her that Grayson had left on a business trip for a month. There was no further explanation. Not even a note Grayson left behind for her.Her jaw tightened at the thought.Grayson Moore was many things—private, unpredictable, emotionally distant. But this? Disappearing on his birthday without informing her? It wasn’t just out of character. It was an indirect humiliation on her. She was his fiancée, to begin with!Natalie had tried to stay calm. She’d even called Steven, his assistant, hoping to get something—or anything—from someone who wasn’t paid to give her empty smiles a

After the quiet dinner, Aurora gently stacked the empty plates and set them aside, while Grayson leaned back in his chair, his gaze still caught on the remnants of candlelight flickering across her face. She had no idea what that simple gesture had done to him.The food had been good—he didn’t say it aloud, but he didn’t need to. Aurora saw it in the way he finished every bite. The cake was a little uneven, but the first bite had stayed on his tongue longer than it should have, because it tasted like something he'd almost forgotten. The kind of warmth that feels like.. home. A place he didn’t believe existed for a man like him.****After they left the dining room, Aurora hesitated outside their bedroom door. Grayson noticed and tilted his head, silently questioning her.“I, um… I have one more thing,” she said softly, her fingers curling slightly as they always did when she was nervous. She walked toward the glass

In the warmth of the quiet kitchen, Aurora moved carefully, checking the oven with a soft smile as the faint aroma of vanilla and peaches filled the air. With the chef’s guidance and Edith’s encouragement, she had managed to make a small, heartfelt birthday cake for Grayson—nothing extravagant, just something personal. Something she hoped would touch even a small part of him.The long dining table had been modestly decorated under her direction. A few soft candles flickered, radiating a softer ambience over the space, and the dishes she had carefully prepared were arranged neatly. She had even chosen to wear a simple, light pink-colored dress—soft and feminine. It wasn’t to impress, but to offer something sincere.Grayson didn’t know about any of this. He had never mentioned his birthday at all. And according to Edith, he hadn’t celebrated it since his parents died. But something in her heart simply wanted to do this. However, the clock on the wall ticked past 6 p.m.Then 7.Then 8.A

It was already afternoon when Aurora finally woke up, her body still aching from the merciless way Grayson had claimed her the night before. She barely had the strength to move, every muscle in her body protesting as she shifted under the soft covers. Her mind was still hazy, but the memories of the previous night played vividly—Grayson’s burning, possessive touch, the way he refused to let her go until she was utterly exhausted. She exhaled shakily, her fingers clutching the blanket as she stared at the ceiling. She had always known Grayson was possessive, but last night… last night was something she couldn't explain. He had always been passionate every time they had sex, but last night, she could clearly feel his rage through his beastly actions—like he had nearly ravaged her body. He had been punishing her in the most primitive way. After being with him for over a month, she could feel his possessiveness growing stronger each day.Thou

Grayson’s lips moved against hers with an intensity that left her breathless, claiming every gasp and shudder that escaped her. He wasn’t just kissing her—he was consuming her, trying to remind her who she truly belonged to.Aurora’s hands trembled against his chest, her body instinctively pressing into him despite the storm of emotions swirling inside her. His fingers slid into her hair, gripping just enough to tilt her head back, exposing the smooth line of her throat.“You drive me insane Aurora,” Grayson murmured against her skin, his voice rough and unsteady. His lips dragged lower, pressing slow, wet kisses down the smooth curve of her neck.“Seeing you with another man…” his breath warm against her pulse. “I wanted to tear him apart, and lock you away where no one else could reach you.”Aurora’s breath trembled continuously. The sheer possessiveness in his tone sent a shiver through her, awakening something unfamiliar yet undeniable.

Aurora excused herself, offering Julian a small smile as she stood up. “I’ll just use the restroom for a moment.” Julian simply nodded, watching as she walked away before turning his attention back to his coffee. His fingers curled around the cup, but his thoughts were elsewhere. On her way to the restroom, Aurora was lost in thought when she suddenly collided with someone. The impact wasn’t too strong but enough to make her stumble slightly. “Oh—” She looked up, startled, meeting the gaze of a tall, striking man dressed in a well-tailored suit. The man, just as surprised, instinctively reached out to steady her, though neither of them fell. His sharp eyes lingered on Aurora's face before he quickly composed himself. “I’m so sorry,” Aurora said first, stepping back. The man, however, shook his head slightly. “No, I should be the one apologizing. I wasn’t paying attention.” They stood there for a brief moment as if caught in an invisible pause. There was something oddly familiar
