Chapter 57: The cliff

My arm shot backwards and forwards again, letting the necklace go. It went up, and then fell down, towards the sea. I threw it far away from me and when it hit the water a few seconds later with a splash which wasn't heard, it sank to the bottom. Never to be found again, hopefully.

"I want the world to forget about him." I stated, my eyes cast down. "Forgotten he shall." Adrian softly said.

I was right on the edge of the cliff. Normally, I was scared of heights, but for some reason, the height mesmerised me this time. The tips of my boots hung over the edge. I was so high up. The water looked so inviting. Maybe this would solve all my problems. To just jump. I heard someone say something behind me, but I couldn't hear it properly. It was as if I was already under water.

And so I dropped off the cliff, towards the inviting water.
