Chapter Thirteen

Elena's POV:

I shivered at the harshness of his voice. He took the step away from me and handed back the keys. But instead of getting in my car and leaving, I followed him.

We walked back to his house to find Lexi and a man standing near his porch.

"So is everything fine?" Lexi asked to Jake.

"I'll get you the mails". He said and went inside.

"I'm sorry for creating a misunderstanding between you guys". She said.

"It's fine". I mumbled not looking at her.

"I'm Adam Norman her husband and she told me what happened. We are really sorry for what happened. Actually, we just came back from dinner and saw Jake so she came with him to take mails while I was parking the car". Adam explained.

I blushed from embarrassment.

Jake came out with the mails and they took it.

"See you guys around". They said walking towards their house which was beside Jake's house.

Jake glanced at me and I looked down at my feet.

"Are you coming inside?" He asked.

I nodded my head and walked inside his house, closing
