Capturing My Prince
Capturing My Prince
Author: S.G. Sonysa

Prologue

On Elena's fourth birthday, her dad gave her a beautiful dollhouse with a new gorgeous doll in it. She instantly fell in love with the doll, looking at it with love and analyzing it. The doll house had a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and a small balcony with a lot of furniture. She named her new doll princess, just like her dad calls her princess. She was delighted to receive such a precious gift from her lovely dad. She settled the princess in her room, admiring the dollhouse again.

Suddenly, she noticed that the princess looked alone in the house. Her tiny mind started to ask questions about her loneliness.

Elena never liked being alone; she always loved her family and the time she spent together with her family. She was never a shy girl. Elena always loved being in the spotlight with people around her. She loved spending time with her family and her twin brother Eric. He was her best friend, and Elena liked to play games with him and pulled silly pranks with him on her parents and her elder brothers. The thought that her princess was alone in such a huge house and had no one to live with her made her really upset. She got up and ran outside to find some answers. And she knew only one person could solve this mystery and help her. It was none other than her mom. She gives her best answer and makes her confusion disappear.

But unfortunately, on the way, she collided with someone and fell on her knees. Her clothes got mud on them, her knee scraped, and her hand scratched from falling on the ground.

Tears threatened to leave her eyes, but she remained calm. However, for the first time in her life, she felt extremely furious.

She looked up and found a boy getting up from the ground. He looked at her, and she glared at him with pure hatred.

He came to her, looking concerned, and rubbed her elbow to get rid of the pain.

"I’m sorry for making you fall, princess.” He said in a panic.

His handsome face made Elena think he was a prince of some kind. Her eyes connected to his emerald ones, and she found herself lost in them. For some weird reason, she was imagining him and herself in a dollhouse living together like a family.

“Are you okay?" He asked her in concern.

His voice sounded music to her ear, inciting her to dance with him. However, she frowned at him when she remembered that he made her fall.

She frowned and glared at him, sitting on the ground.

“Only my dad and my brothers call me princess!” She snapped at him, putting her hands on her waist.

He smiled at her, picking up the gift box from the ground he dropped earlier, and she didn't notice.

“I thought it was your name. Brandon always calls you that.” He said with a frown.

“It is my name. But only my family can call me that!” She said, looking at him with her chin up.

"And you are not my family!" She yelled at him.

"That's so sad. I want to be part of your family," Jake said with a sad smile.

Her heart began to dance when he said he wanted to be part of her family.

"I have a family. But my does not have one," Elena said in her little voice.

"Oh, why?" He asked curiously, sitting down and dusting off the mud from her knees.

She felt tingles in her body and slapped his hand away. Jake felt hurt but didn't snap at her for being a brat.

"I don't know why my doll is alone?" She asked.

"Jake, I'm alone too," He mumbled with a miserable look on his face.

Elena felt sad for him and placed her hand on his hand. Jake pulls her to her feet with a smile.

"Why are you alone?" She asked him.

"I don't know. Maybe I was born like that," Jake said.

"I wasn't born alone. I have a twin brother. He was with me in mummy's tummy. Dad told me," She said cheerfully.

Jake chuckled, and she glared at him.

"That's different, princess. Oops, sorry. I called you princess again," Jake said.

However, this time Elena didn't tell him not to call her princess.

"Your doll is alone because she doesn't have a prince," Jake said to her.

"Elena, will you become her prince?" She asked him with a hopeful look on her face.

"I will become her prince if you become my friend," Jake said, extending his hand toward her.

Hesitantly, she shook his hand, and he gave her a huge smile, then pulled out the chocolates from his pocket.

“Your brother told me you like chocolates,” He said, offering some chocolates to her.

She did not take them instantly, but her mouth waters at the sight of her favorite chocolates.

“This is your birthday gift. Sorry, I ate a few chocolates on my way here,” He said, smiling again.

She snatched the chocolates from his hand, turning on her heels.

“Happy Birthday, Princess,” He said to annoy her.

Elena gave him an aggravated look when he called her princess again. Instead of snapping at him, she decided to stick her tongue at him and then ran to her mom.

“Mommy, my princess is alone in the doll house. Why she doesn't have a family?” She asked her mom innocently.

Her granddad and grandmother smiled at Elena's question. Her mom kneeled, smiling at the question of her daughter. She kissed her forehead softly, making her giggle.

“Elena, baby. She is alone because she hasn't found her prince yet."

"When will she find her prince, mom?" Elena asked her mom inquisitively.

"She will find her prince one day, and then she wouldn't be alone. She will have her own family as we have," Her mom said and kissed her head.

"Mom, when will she have a family?" Elena asked, making her mom chuckle.

Watching her mom struggle to feed her curiosity, her dad butt in. He grabbed her from the waist and placed her small body on his lap.

"Princess, one day she will meet a good guy, and then they will fall in love and get married like your mom and me," her dad said.

Her mind went to the boy she collided with and thought he was a good guy.

Suddenly, her mom's eyes landed on the chocolates in her hand, and she frowned.

“Who gave you these chocolates to you?” Her mom asked in worry.

She quickly got down from her dad's lap and tried to hide her chocolates behind her back.

“I think, my prince,” She yelled, quickly stuffing some chocolates in her mouth and running away from mom.

He went inside the house before her mom could catch her from consuming her favorite chocolates.
